Based on Scott Ryan's independent film The Magician (2005). He plays Ray Shoesmith, the conflicted hit-man with a heart of gold, in both projects.
Chika Yasumura, who plays Britanny, Ray's daughter, is the daughter of Nash Edgerton, the director of the series.
The series was set and filmed in the suburbs of Sydney, which is the capital city of New South Wales, Australia.
Dimmies are Dim Sims. Australia's take on dim sum (Chinese dumplings, similar to Japanese Gyoza), either fried or steamed. They were popularized by a Chinese immigrant in Melbourne in 1928.
