One Tree Hill fans are excited about its announced comeback but the revival could be without one of its power couples!
Premiering on the WB in 2003, One Tree Hill became one of the network’s biggest hits. The focus was on half-brothers Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan (James Lafferty) living together in their North Carolina town. The show was a major success, jumping to the CW in 2006 with a five-year “time jump” to show the kids moving to adulthood. It ended after nine seasons and remains popular online.
Over the years, the stars have remained close, particularly Bethany Joy Lenz (Haley James), Sophia Bush (Brooke Davis) and Hilarie Burton (Peyton Sawyer), as the trio hosted a podcast talking about the show and their own lives.
Thus, fans were excited to hear that Burton and Davis were working on a new sequel series for Netflix. It’ll pick up with...

Wondering whether One Tree Hill‘s favorite couple Nathan (James Lafferty) and Haley James Scott (Bethany Joy Lenz) are going to come back for the sequel series? Well, Lafferty and Lenz have finally commented on their possible return. Speaking to Variety, both actors are flattered by the fan request to bring back the beloved characters. “I am absolutely open to being a part of a revisiting to Tree Hill. But as far as this particular one, I don’t know. It’s so early,” the Drama Queens podcast cohost said. “I don’t know if it’s in pilot, I don’t know if it’s in series. I don’t know where it’s at.” As for Lafferty, he is focused on the show he created with Stephen Colletti, Everyone Is Doing Great. “Personally, I’m blown away by the fans that make a conversation like this even possible.

Well, this might not have been the news One Tree Hill fans were hoping to hear regarding Nathan and Haley's place in the possible revival series in the works at Netflix. Bethany Joy Lenz and James Lafferty finally spoke out, and let's just say their updates aren't too encouraging.
Ever since news broke that Netflix is developing a One Tree Hill sequel series from stars and executive producers Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton Morgan, fans of the popular series have been eager to learn which additional cast members could be joining Brooke and Peyton in the potential revival.
The initial report about the series that's still in early development indicated that Danneel Ackles was in talks to reprise her role as Rachel Gatina and that Chad Michael Murray had "no plans" to appear as Lucas. For her part, Ackles is on board as an executive producer with husband Jensen Ackles.

Nathan and Haley have entered the chat.
James Lafferty and Bethany Joy Lenz opened up about the upcoming “One Tree Hill” sequel series, currently in the works at Netflix. Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton, who portrayed Brooke Davis and Peyton Sawyer in the Warner Bros. TV series, are set to star and will executive produce alongside costar Daneel Ackles.
“One Tree Hill,” which aired from 2003 to 2012, also starred Lafferty, Lenz and Chad Michael Murray as Nathan Scott, Haley James Scott and Lucas Scott, respectively, in the main cast. Murray will reportedly not be part of the new show.
Following the news, which came out in August, many fans took to social media to express worry about a lack of other cast members — many hoping that Lafferty and Lenz would return as Nathan and Haley, especially since they were the one couple who were part of the show for all nine seasons.

Fans Demand The Return Of One Tree Hill
One of the most beloved TV shows of the early 2000s, One Tree Hill is an American teen drama that revolves around half-brothers, Nathan and Lucas Scott. Despite having the same father, the two believe they couldn’t be more different from one another as they live completely different lives.
The two switch back and forth from acting like brothers to acting like enemies. Not by choice, their worlds collide both on the basketball court and friend group. The series watches them and their friends grow up from high school through college.
The series stars Chad Michael Murray as Lucas. Murray is best known for A Cinderella Story and Gilmore Girls.

Avatar: The Last Airbender star Ian Ousley has nabbed the lead role in The Runner, a short film about a grief-stricken man haunted by his past from music video director Tony Tacheny.
Ousley plays Everett, a man living out of his van as he struggles to cope with the death of his wife, Abigail, played by Preslea Elliott. Isolated from friends and family, Everett is haunted by memories of traveling around the world in his van with his brother Cameron (Chasen Parker) and his late wife.
“The story of The Runner deals with how we experience traumatic events in our lives. It is so relatable and I’m grateful that Tony entrusted me with Everett as the film is such a personal story for Tony. This was the most challenging role I’ve taken on so far,” Ousley said in a statement.

Before starring on One Tree Hill for nine seasons, star James Lafferty says he was close to walking away from acting.
In an interview with People published Friday, the actor reflected on spending his childhood in the “acting game” that eventually led to the Oth opportunity. “I started when I was really young and I was auditioning by the time I was 10 and working my way up through smaller roles to get the opportunity to do something like this,” Lafferty said.
While visiting the Warner Bros. offices, Lafferty recalled seeing photos of the cast of Dawson’s Creek thinking, “Oh man, it’d be so cool to be up there someday.”

Exclusive: After six years as a manager at More/Medavoy, Stephen Belden is going it alone, having launched his own management and production company, Death Wish Entertainment.
“The dream,” Belden said, “has always been to work with a core group of clients that I absolutely adore as artists and as human beings and to be able to produce projects with and for those clients. With this company I get to focus on exactly that and I couldn’t be more excited.”
Belden explained that the name Death Wish is “a tongue-in-cheek nod to the fact that it’s harder than ever to be working in the entertainment industry right now,” underscoring at the same time that he “couldn’t be more optimistic about what the future holds for the up and coming generation of actors, writers, directors, and producers that I work with.”
Additionally, he expressed his gratitude to those at his former company.

Stephen Colletti and Jason Wahler don’t make many public appearances these days. However, the two reality TV stars used to be front and center in pop culture. Laguna Beach and The Hills fans know them from their embattled relationships with Lauren Conrad. Others may recognize them for their forays into acting (Colletti) and public battle with addiction (Wahler).

James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, former cast members of the popular TV series “One Tree Hill,” returned to the Monte-Carlo Television Festival this week to present the premiere of the second season of their independently produced comedy “Everyone Is Doing Great,” described by the duo as an “anti-Entourage.” According to Colletti, the show will have a third season, and will continue to operate independently for now.
They were accompanied at the festival by two of their co-stars, “The Royals” actor Alexandra Park (who is also Lafferty’s wife and served as an executive producer and writer on Season 2) and Cariba Heine.
Lafferty and Colletti held a masterclass during the festival’s Business Content section, sharing insights on how to navigate independent production in Hollywood, and the challenges facing independent television producers. Without a market component, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival has nevertheless built out and bulked up its industry section with each passing edition. More than anything, the move came out of sheer practicality, says executive director Cécile Menoni.
“We realized that the professionals who were already present could benefit from certain professional content,” Menoni explains. “The idea was to involve the many people who were already in attendance. To federate the juries, nominees and journalists, and to convey their overall vision of cotemporary industry concerns.”
This year’s festival business program runs from June 17 – 19, beginning with a conversation moderated by Variety’s Leo Barraclough that will find Amazon Studio’s Rola Bauer and executive producer Edward Ornelas discussing the challenges and opportunities, casting choices and artistic ambitions of the festival’s opening series, “Harlan Corben’s Shelter.”

Let’s go back, back to the beginning.
During the first episode of the “Laguna Beach” rewatch podcast “Back to the Beach,” hosts Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti divulged just how much money they were making for the first 11-episode season.
“I think 2,500,” Cavallari said on the Dear Media podcast, which debuted on Tuesday.
“I don’t even think it was that much. I think it was 2,000,” Colletti responded. “Lauren [Conrad] and I renegotiated for Season 2. It was going to be our last season! We were like, ‘We’re out of here!'”
“Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” aired on MTV for three seasons from 2004 to 2006, following the lives of teenagers growing up in the California town. Much of the first two seasons (the third brought in a new cast) followed Cavallari, Colletti and Conrad’s love triangle. Each episode of the podcast, which has been ordered for 40 episodes, will...

“Everyone Is Doing Great,” the comedy created by “One Tree Hill” alumni James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, is heading to Paramount Plus outside the U.S.
The ViacomCBS-backed SVOD has picked up streaming rights to the eight-part Hulu series for the Nordics and Latin America — a deal that marks the show’s first international sale. Endeavor Content is handling the U.S. and international sales.
The comedy rolls out in the Nordics from Thursday, while the Latin America premiere will come later this year. “Everyone Is Doing Great” launched in January on Hulu.
Written and produced by Lafferty and Colletti, the series follows actors Seth (Colletti) and Jeremy (Lafferty), who together enjoyed the success of hit television vampire drama “Eternal” and, five years after their show has wrapped, continue to lean on each other to navigate their professional and personal lives.

One Tree Hill 2.0? Not so fast. Oth stars and BFFs James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti reunite for a new comedy series, Everyone Is Doing Great, which debuts on Wednesday, Jan. 13 on Hulu. But what about a full-on One Tree Hill reboot? "It's something that we find pretty fascinating and, kind of bizarre, like this whole, reboot kind of culture that is surrounding us now," Lafferty, 35, told E! News exclusively. "Honestly, like what we're more focused on right now is Everyone Is Doing Great. And the fact that like, we can play with that in the show, which is what we do." He continued, "We play with that theme of, the possibility of a reboot that all these characters, you...

Stephen Colletti is taking a beachside stroll down memory lane. The star of the Hulu series Everyone Is Doing Great tells E! News exclusively about the recent Laguna Beach reunion, along with the rumors that pop up anytime he and ex Kristin Cavallari are spotted together. In October 2020, the cast of the seminal MTV reality series participated in a virtual event to encourage voter registration. In the new video interview, seen above, Stephen explains that none of the former cast members had any hesitation about reuniting for the first time in more than a decade. "It was an awesome experience to see everybody, have everyone in the same spot," he tells E! News. "I...

A new year means a new start. But in its list of new year releases for January 2021, Hulu is sending a message of…eh, we’ll get the year started in February. Not to be overly rude to the usually sturdy streaming service, but there’s not much going on for Hulu in 2021’s first month.
Perhaps the biggest release of note is something that already enjoyed a successful release for ITV in the U.K. The Sister is the lates thriller from Neil Cross (Luther) and it makes its U.S. debut on Hulu on Jan. 22. 2020 comedies Save Yourselves and Like a Boss both arrive on Jan. 1. Hulu original film The Ultimate Playlist of Noise premieres on Jan. 15 and TV series Everyone is Doing Great arrives on Jan. 13.
Thankfully Hulu’s library titles are a bit livelier this month. Jan. 1 sees the arrival of Blade Runner: The Final Cut,...

Last spring, Syfy opted not to send its TV adaptation of “Tremors” to series. Despite a pilot that starred Kevin Bacon, who also starred in the 1990 film that kickstarted an unlikely horror franchise, and a trailer that surfaced a few months later, the episode never aired. This year’s Atx Television Festival will look to change that, offering a few glimpses of the show that might have been had the network moved forward with the Vincenzo Natali-directed opening chapter.
The panel won’t feature a start-to-finish screening of the episode, but the event will feature a selection of clips, a live script reading, and conversations with executive producers and cast, including Andrew Miller, Jessica Rhoades, Toks Olagundoye, P.J. Byrne, and Haley Tju.
Other additions to the schedule include a panel conversation between Margo Martindale and Shane McRae, who star together on the Amazon Prime Video series “Sneaky Pete.” Per the festival announcement,...

James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti drew from their own life experiences when they set out to create their independent TV series “Everyone Is Doing Great” — and we don’t just mean the good ones.
The “One Tree Hill” alums stopped by TheWrap last week to talk about their fundraising campaign for the new dramedy, which centers around two former co-stars, Jeremy Davis (Lafferty) and Seth Stewart (Colletti), who are best-known for their fictional “The Vampire Diaries”-type show, “Eternal,” but have been having a tough time being taken seriously in showbiz since it ended five years ago.
Because TheWrap got a sneak peek at the first episode ahead of our sit-down, we knew about one awkward scene in the pilot in which Seth has to pretend to, um, “make love” to a pillow for an on-camera audition. Of course we immediately needed to know what led them to that cringe-inducing plot point.

Teen drama One Tree Hill ended its nine-season run in 2012, and there hasn't been a show quite like it since.
Many of the actors catapulted into stardom thanks to the series and are now killing it on both the big and small screen. Meanwhile, others have removed themselves from the spotlight completely.
However, nothing bonds a group of strangers quite like a TV show. Their bond has remained strong, and they continue to hang out and keep in touch with fans at conventions which have also kept the legacy of the series alive for new and old fans alike.
There are even talks of a possible revival in the near-future.
So, let's return to Tree Hill and see what your basketball-loving, small-town actors have been up to since the series wrapped.
