A different style of comedy that is refreshing, funny, and makes fun of itself as well as YouTube. Nothing is off the table when it comes to how it really is behind the scenes as depicted in the plot lines. The gags are plentiful, star guest appearances prevalent, and it all makes sense after you get into the flow of the show. Who is Ryan Hansen? Had no idea until this show, but apparently he has been around for a while and is a great choice for this series. Worth the watch.

Weird and meta and goofy. Ryan Hansen is funny and charming. Writing is funny and all the Hollywood references are hilarious. Celebrity cameos are entertaining.
It is self referential in the extreme,
it is so meta it hurts,
it rips the pxxx out of tv crime shows and their recurring tropes,
it gives some insight into tv show terminology and methods,
I SIMPLY LOVED IT. EAGER FOR THE SECOND SEASON.
Various cameos enhance the show in a similar way to the excellent EXTRAS by Mr Gervais.

It seems like shows like this are facing a dwindling audience. I don't understand how well written, absurd, and entertaining comedies like this struggle to find hordes of adoring fans, while a guy getting into a bathtub full of cheetos gets millions of views and likes on youtube.
This is the 3rd show I've watched on youtube Originals after Sideswiped, and Overthinking With Kat & June. All 3 shows are good, but Ryan Hansons is by far the most funny and silly.
Recommended for fans of Veep, No Activity, Eastbound & Down, Seinfeld, and Curb. Just to name a few.

I don't remember exactly why I signed for a YouTube red free trial, but the show is the reason I keep my YouTube premium to this day. It's funny and creative and witty, and I honestly hope there's a third season. Don't get me wrong having no ads is nice but shows like Ryan Hansen solves crimes on the internet is why I still have a subscription. If you haven't seen it I recommend you do as it's essentially a love letter to all the celebrities and shows that mean a lot to the fans but may not get the sunshine they deserve. Seasons one and two are great and here's to hoping we get more!

After that it went downhill. I really wanted to enjoy this show - especially after reading all the positive reviews on this site.
What I grew tired of very quickly was the mean spirited nature of the female cop towards the main "actor cop". If I had a nickel every time she called him an "IDIOT" or "MORON"... We get it Hollywood - he's a bad stupid man.
No chemistry between the two and not worth watching. Just an ugly show and not at all funny.

Clever premise, great plots, rapid fire banter, and plots that make you grin the moment you get the gag. (The Donald Faison and public domain princesses stories were personal favorites.)
Hansen's enthusiasm is infectious. (And wow, did he really do that ninja stand in the Escape Room episode?)
A little breaking the fourth wall and loving jabs at Hollywood itself takes it to the next level.
Highly, highly recommend.

This show is to entertain. It does not take itself seriously and the actors (familiar and new) are great and seem to be enjoying the show as much as the audience. With all that the plot and changes work. Hope to see a season 3.

This is a new concept. very unique, hilarious, and interesting. Hats off to writers, they put a really good visible effort in this show. Also, I usually skip intros of every series. This is probably first one whose intro I just watch to read that one unique line they put in every episode.
