Samara Weaving occasionally stayed in full Nix costume after long days of shooting on set. She revealed that she was frequently refused service at diners and the like because it made people so uncomfortable.

According to Director, Jason Lei Howden, the title 'Guns Akimbo' stems from a video game called "Blood" that he used to play back in the '90s. The game has a power-up mode where you're running around with a single gun and then you get this power-up called Guns Akimbo, which gives you two guns and for 30 seconds.
