When I was starting the series, I kept thinking to myself that the characters and their dialogues are more interesting in the book. But as I went on a few episodes more, I thought this take off of the book is so creative. The storyline was far off from the book but the theme remained. My favorite episodes were: "Touch. I really felt Theo's character", "The Bent-Neck Lady. Poor Nellie. The same thing I said when I was reading the novel: Poor Eleanor", "The Two Storms. Just because of the multiple one shots, and the smooth transitions between then and now situations, and the intense acting from the entire cast", "Screaming Meemies. On to my most favorite episode and character. Olivia was the perfect cast for a mother in this genre. One that brings peace and horror to the family; peace with her voice and horror to the mind. She might have the same voice as Meryl Streep when she cries and talks at the same time. The whispery, heavy breathy tone. Well, maybe it's just me".
Hill House... those who walked there, walked together.
It just makes perfect sense.
