The bedtime story that David Mars reads to Elfie towards the end of this episode is "The Nursery Alice" by Lewis Carroll. It is a shorter and simpler version of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", adapted by the author for "Children aged from Nought to Five", i.e., less than 5 years old. It was published in 1890, 25 years after the original "Alice", and it is meant to be read aloud.

Ironic and underwhelming

To think that the British resent being considered xenophobic... Kip (ironically Kip that means "chicken" in Dutch), the noble policewoman donates UK citizenships to Middle Easters while the UK citizens voted for Brexit. Because they do not want any more Europeans ... Sort of contradictory statements.

Apart from this schizophrenic attitude, it's unclear what was the point of the MP ex wife and the gay priest and her illegal lover and how exactly the whole thing stuck together.

But what's a messy script, as long as the UK is not a nasty little country? (apart against the rest of Europe, of course)
