Paramount+ with Showtime today unveiled a teaser trailer for the third season of the Showtime original Emmy-nominated series Yellowjackets at Ccxp. The two-episode season premiere drops Friday, February 14 on streaming and on demand for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan before its on-air debut on Sunday, February 16.

The teaser debuted at today’s Paramount+ panel at Ccxp in São Paolo, Brazil, which featured cast members Sophie Nélisse (Shauna), Sophie Thatcher (Natalie), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Taissa), Courtney Eaton (Lottie) and Kevin Alves (Travis).

Hilariously given its dark subject matter, the first two episodes of the Showtime original will debut Feb. 14 on both streaming and on demand for those subscribed to the Paramount+ with Showtime plan. Season 3’s linear premiere will then take place on Feb. 16. Tony Amendola and Jamison Jones (The Wretched) have joined the cast of the horror short The Agreement at Clivemore, which is set to begin filming next month.

The short film follows “the retiring Hospital Director of the mysterious Clivemore Hospital, who meets his successor and reveals a disturbing secret: a haunting contract every new employee must sign – no exceptions.”

Amendola will play Doctor Burgos, while Jones will play Paul Echols.

The Agreement at Clivemore is directed by Ryan Godoy (Every Night I See Them) and written by David Draper. Draper’s script was initially adapted into a podcast by UK creators Miscreation and featured in an audio-drama anthology on Spotify, Audible, and Apple Podcasts.

It feels like we have a steady stream of scream queens right now, with the likes of Mia Goth, Samara Weaving and Melissa Barrera all eligible for a crown. But we don’t have many going for the scream king title. Really, the biggest name that comes to mind is Finn Wolfhard, but even he isn’t sure he’s deserving.

The King of Horror has as many horror adaptations floating around out there as he does books with his name on them. Watching a horror flick based on King’s work is a yearlong delight but getting through a bunch of them during the Halloween season just hits different.

The new horror and science fiction anthology, “Deepest, Darkest,” has added yet another cast mate to its already stellar lineup of genre heavyweights.

Rahul Kohli, a beloved member of Mike Flanagan’s Flanaverse and essential teammate in the crime-solving “iZombie” series, has officially joined the star-studded cast of “Deepest, Darkest,” a new horror anthology from writer and director Marc Bernardin and actor Tiffany Smith.

“‘Deepest Darkest’ is an exciting project combining all my favorite genres and my favorite people. Joining this project was a no-brainer for me,” says Kohli, expressing his enthusiasm early in the process to Variety.

Kohli joins the previously announced cast of Smith (“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”), Rosario Dawson, Ernie Hudson (“Ghostbusters”), Yetide Badaki (“American Gods”), Phil Lamarr and “Quantum Leap” stars Raymond Lee and Caitlin Bassett.

To top off that impressive lineup, the genre showcase is executive-produced by Akela Cooper and David Dastmalchian.

“We did another show called Past Imperfect,” Reiner told Howard Stern in 2016. “Jerry came in to audition for that. We hired Howie Mandel, and the show went on for 13 weeks.”

“My life was going well at that point – regular spots on The Tonight Show, 300 club dates a year, I was doing big concerts, I’d bought an apartment on Central Park West,” Seinfeld told New York Magazine in 1998. “I don’t even know why I was reading for Past Imperfect. “’Salem’s Lot” is finally on its way.

The new adaptation of Stephen King’s 1975 novel, considered by many to be one of the author’s very best, was shot in the summer of 2021 (with additional photography a year later). And then it just sat. For a while it was unclear whether Warner Bros. was just going to scrap the movie altogether, as it did with “Batgirl” and “Coyote vs. Acme.” Eventually the movie was shifted to premiere on the company’s streaming platform Max. We now have a date that it’ll debut (October 3) and a brand new trailer. Watch it below.

There are good Stephen King adaptations, there are bad Stephen King adaptations, and there are — even in this our ongoing King movie Renaissance — a whole lot of adaptations in between. The new "Salem's Lot" movie adaptation has had a ton of potential from the jump, both because one of the author's scariest books is decades overdue for an on-screen update, and because of the early footage the /Film team saw at CinemaCon back in 2022 made an epic first impression.

And then a curious thing happened: the film never came out. Initially set to open on September 9, 2022, "Salem's Lot" got pushed to April 21, 2023, and then it got removed from the release date calendar altogether. This happened at a time when studio Warner Bros. was going through some changes, and outright shelving movies like "Batgirl." There was a fear that Warner Bros. might never release "Salem's Lot," something that really bugged author Stephen King.

In the first sequence of “Mother Mother” a herd of camels cry out in the dark. Andy Muschietti's mega-blockbuster adaptation of "It" kicked off a new boom of Stephen King adaptations when it hit theaters in 2017, but if we were in a boom, is it safe to say we've now hit a bust? There are still tons of new King adaptations coming (I'm excited to see Osgood Perkins' take on "The Monkey" and Bryan Fuller's horned-up "Christine" update), but the massive hits have slowed down (remember "Firestarter?"), and one major adaptation, Warner Bros' "'Salem's Lot," is only now coming out after years of sitting on the shelf.

The works of Stephen King will always continue to be rich and entertaining, whether they're dominating the pop cultural zeitgeist or not. But if one title exemplifies the fickleness of the recent King adaptation boom, it's "Castle Rock," a wonderfully complicated, delightfully mysterious King-adjacent series that unceremoniously died on the vine at Hulu despite delivering two great seasons of television.

Just in time for Judgment Day, Netflix has a new installment in the “Terminator” franchise for fans of the iconic, long-running sci-fi action franchise. This time, however, you won’t see any familiar faces — the series is animated. However, you might recognize some of the voices, so we’ve put together a handy guide to the “Terminator Zero” cast.

You won’t see Sarah Connor, Kyle Reese or Arnold’s T-800 in this story — it introduces a new timeline and all new characters to go with it. Set in 1997, Japan, “Terminator Zero” focuses on a developer named Malcolm Lee, who is hard at work on another AI system to compete with Skynet and save the human race. Naturally, a Terminator unit is sent back in time to target him and his three children, while a soldier from the future is sent back with a mission of her own.

Exclusive: Oscar winner Sissy Spacek (Carrie) and three-time Oscar nominee Nick Nolte (The Thin Red Line) have been tapped for roles in Die, My Love, Lynne Ramsay’s thriller based on the 2017 novel by Ariana Harwicz.

Details as to the duo’s roles are under wraps. The project reunites Spacek and Nolte following their work together on Affliction, the 1997 crime drama written and directed by Paul Schrader. As previously announced, Jennifer Lawerence, Robert Pattinson and Lakeith Stanfield will also star.

Set in a remote forgotten rural area, the story follows a mother (Lawrence) who struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis. Pattinson will be playing her husband, and Stanfield, her lover.

Ramsay is directing from her script written with Enda Walsh. Producers on the project include Justine Ciarrocchi and Lawerence on behalf of Excellent Cadaver, as well as Martin Scorsese and Andrea Calderwood. Black Label Media is financing.

The Netflix anime series “Terminator Zero” brings the franchise back to the screen on August 29, and Netflix has shared a sneak peek look at the first six minutes today.

Showrunner Mattson Tomlin tells Tudum, “I realized the first minutes of the show have to declare what it is. The way to do that was to have a sequence that had no dialogue, that was really planting a flag in letting everybody know this is going to be violent, it’s going to be dark, it’s going to be action-driven, it’s going to be horrific, and it’s going to be arresting.”
