Crime thriller “The Last Stop in Yuma County” has unveiled its first clip.

The debut feature from writer-director Francis Galluppi will bow at Austin’s Fantastic Fest before heading to Sitges. XYZ Films and UTA are co-representing North American sales.

The film follows a traveling knife salesman in 1980s Arizona. Stranded and forced to wait at a rural rest stop, he suddenly finds himself in the middle of a violent hostage situation upon the arrival of two bank robbers who are on the run after a recent heist.

As Til Death Do Us Part opens The Best Man sits in a pew working on his speech as upbeat music plays in the background. That’s followed by similar glimpses of other wedding party members prepping for the ceremony. A flashback to The Bride and Groom, nobody in this film has a name, on vacation serves to reinforce the happy image.

But Til Death Do Us Part isn’t a Hallmark Channel rom-com or Lifetime Channel thriller. Because when The Bride gets cold feet and bails on the wedding, we find out everyone involved in the ceremony is a highly skilled assassin. Now the stood-up Groom wants more than just his ring back, and their employer doesn’t take resignations well.

Taking a page out of the McFarlane Movie Maniacs playbook, the “Scream Greats” line of action figures from Trick or Treat Studios is adding more new horror icons this Halloween.

The line of 8″ action figures will grow to include Tony Todd’s Candyman, Farmer Vincent from Motel Hell, Michael Myers from Halloween (’78) and Jacob from Candy Corn.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of the release of director John Carpenter‘s 1978 masterpiece Halloween (watch that Here), and as part of the celebration Trick or Treat Studios will be releasing a new action figure based on the ’78 version of iconic slasher Michael Myers! Available for pre-order through the Trick or Treat Studios website, the figure is expected to start shipping out on October 2nd.

Teddy Told Me To, the directorial debut of effects artist Tom Devlin is based on a character he created for an episode of SyFy’s makeup show Face Off back in 2011. Teddy was designed to be the villain for a slasher film, and now eleven years later, he’s just that.

The film opens with a YouTuber sneaking into an old haunted attraction, “abandoned since all the way back in the 90s!”, only to meet a bloody end. That video is being watched by Danny and Zoe who are meeting a realtor about that very property.

After taking viewers behind-the-scenes of Rob Zombie's 31 in the extensive documentary In Hell Everybody Loves Popcorn: The Making of 31, filmmaker Josh Hasty returns behind the camera for his own feature film Candy Corn. Featuring an all-star horror cast that includes Courtney Gains, P.J. Soles, and Tony Todd, Candy Corn is now on Blu-ray and VOD from Dread, and we caught up with Hasty in our latest Q&a feature to discuss assembling his cast of horror icons, bottling the intoxicatingly nostalgic atmosphere of Halloween, and the insights he's learned from having Rob Zombie as a friend and mentor.

When the annual hazing of a local “freak” goes too far, a traveling carnie takes matters into his own hands and seeks vengeance. He creates a monster hungry for blood. One by one the boys involved in the heinous crime are viciously murdered… and revenge never tasted so sweet.

The films, which stars genre legends Courtney Gains (Children of the Corn), Pj Soles (Halloween) and Tony Todd (Candyman), alongside Sky Elobar, Caleb Thomas, Madison Russ, Cy Creamer, Jimothy Beckholt, Nate Chaney, Patrick Ryan, Justin Mabry, Matt O’Neill, and Jaime Gallagher, is set for a Us release this Autumn.

We've received word that Candy Corn, from Josh Hasty, has been picked up by Epic Pictures and will be distributed through their Dread label. A fall theatrical release is planned for the Us, while the movie is being taken to Cannes next week to seek international distribution. The romantic comedy is based on the memoir Becoming Ginger Rogers: How Ballroom Dancing Made Me a Happier Woman, Better Partner, and Smarter CEO by New York publicist Patrice Tanaka. In the wake of 9/11 and faced with a personal crisis involving her beloved Afghani husband, the Hawaiian-born Tanaka turned to ballroom dancing as an escape.
