BEWARE OF FALSE REVIEWS & REVIEWERS. SOME REVIEWERS HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW TO THEIR NAME. NOW WHEN ITS A POSITIVE REVIEW THAT TELLS ME THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE MOVIE. IF ITS A NEGATIVE REVIEW THEN THEY MIGHT HAVE A GRUDGE AGAINST THE FILM . I HAVE REVIEWED OVER 200 HOLIDAY FILMS. I HAVE NO AGENDA.
This film brings to life a famous Norman Rockwell painting. Samuel Cavanaugh, a Scrooge like character, revisits the frozen pond each year to relive the happier moments in his life. Michael Grant is an unhappy young boy attempting to skate with his dad's over sized skates, who was missing in action in Korea. Their paths cross several times as our story unfolds. Its a heartwarming Christmas tale.
This is a very sweet special. I will not call it a "Movie" because it runs less than an hour. The acting is fine. I also love the fact that in this special it shows us "What Makes People Angry" and why someone would steel.
Suitable for all ages. I will watch it again!

If you have Netflix or Amazon Streaming this wonderful program is available to stream NOW (As of May 2017). This film runs under an hour. Its starts off a little wobbly but it stands on its feet fast.
There is a message in this film but it doesn't hit you over the head with it.
This film takes place in the 1940's. World War II is ending and people don't know who is "Returning". Many people are shell shocked about the war. They are the smallest victims "The Children of War Veterans". There is also the grieving parents trying to figure out "What does war really solve" and how to move on, dealing with loss, and uncertainty.
Told through they eyes of a child it will warm your heart and maybe spark something in you the viewer that "There is a reason why people act out" and "Throwing the Key solves Nothing"

In the pantheon of holiday productions, this may be acceptable, however in the context of all film and television it is sub-par. The story is not well written, much of the acting is at high-school play level, the fashion does not fit the period and, as a result, you become overly aware of it as a production instead of a story. No doubt the producer(s) were doing the best they had with the resources available but the whole thing misses its target.

The high ratings of this movie got me interest so I had to watch. The first 10 minutes however are very clumsy. It seems that this directed and edited by a novice. However I am glad I stuck with it. Its high ratings are deserved.
The story is about 2 children. A brother and a sister. It's World War II and there dad is off. The children and their mother are missing him.
Now the children are practicing to be in the annual Christmas Pageant that their church puts on. The girl however steels the angel. SHe means no harm and will bring it back. She loves this angel because she doesn't have a doll to play with.
She breaks the angel and that sets off a chain of events that leads to a very happy ending.
Watch it with your children. It is under an hour. It is well made but the first 10 minutes are rough!

This is runs under an hour. It is a short story about people struggling for various reasons during Christmas time.

The story is a tad predictable but the execution is flawless. It also puts you in shoes of certain people in the story that helps make this Christmas Story well worth watching.
Gather your family and watch this together!

This is a mini movie. Runs less than an hour but it really has a long set up. Some of those things could have been better. In fact they should have been better.
In this film a very old man revisits the frozen pond each year to relive the happier moments in his life. At the pond he sees Michael. This young man is an unhappy young boy attempting to skate with his dad's skates. He misses his dad who is now missing in action in Korea. Michael and the older man end up forming a bond.
What is nice about this film is that it shows that "All of us are connected" and that at times "We All Need Each Other".
I wish this was on DVD. I can only stream it. I would buy it and give it to my parents.
Now believe it or not kids most likely will not like this. If you are an empty nester then you most likely will have a great viewing experience!
