While I didn't really know what I was getting into when I sat down to watch the 2019 movie "Sadistic Intentions" from writer and director Eric Pennycoff, I did believe it to be a horror movie.
Turns out that the movie was frightfully devoid of anything even remotely scary and it wasn't really much of a horror movie to be honest. So on that account "Sadistic Intentions" disappointed, and it wasn't off to a great start.
Little did it help that the storyline was rather boring and had very little appeal to me. So I can't really claim that I was enjoying watching the movie. In fact, I managed to sit through about an hour of the ordeal, then I simply had my share of boredom and got up and shut it off. Never going to return to watch the rest of the movie either. Yeah, the movie just had that little interest to me.
The acting in the movie was adequate though, and that at least counts for something. But it was hardly enough to lift up the movie in any way, because the movie has so many shortcomings that it was a losing battle - a losing uphill battle even.
My rating of "Sadistic Intentions" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.
