Elena and Pietro are happily married, wealthy and proud parents. When he's kidnapped, Elena's life becomes a nightmare again: when she was young she was kidnapped too. The new case is lead by Giordano Testa, who rescued her years back.
Elena is forced to deal with a drug dealer in order to free Pietro. She is unaware that the same group of people who kidnapped her when she was a teenager, are now involved in her husband's kidnapping.
Pietro is back home but seems elusive and nervous. Elena can't stop thinking about her own kidnapping, when she lost her baby. She starts investigating about that case and finds out that Pietro himself was one of her kidnappers.
Elena wants to know the truth and threaten Pietro with a gun but he runs away. Desperate, she confesses her doubts to Giordano, who's still in love with her. A mysterious woman seems to have informations about Elena's baby.
Elena's father is found dead and Pietro is suspected to have killed him. A young, mysterious man leaves the military academy and finds a way to be hired at Elena's country club.
Stefano, the young new employee at Elena's club, tries to kill Pietro, convinced that the man is responsible of killing his dad. Elena finds new informations about her own kidnapping. Giordano is shot and almost killed while protecting her.
Giordano successfully undergoes surgery after the shooting and Elena invites him to stay at her home. Pietro has a secret meeting with her daughter and later finds out that Giordano is responsible of killing Elena's father.
Giordano tries to kill Pietro but he survives. Elena has a meeting with Silvia, Stefano's ill mother who tells her the truth: Stefano is actually Elena's son. During an attempt to escape the hospital, Silvia falls from the balcony and dies.
Elena is arrested for the death of Silvia Nardi. Pietro and Claudio study a plan to set her free. Giordano invites Stefano to stay at his home and persuades him to take revenge on Pietro.
