All characters in this short are based on actual characters, some of them still alive. The main characters have fictive names, except for Niillas who is based on the co-writer Niillas Aslaksen Somby. Even the Hippie-character is real, based on a undercover-cop who flirted and bonded with the sámi activists during the demonstrations south of Alta, Norway, in 1979-1981.
