It’s better to burn out than fade away, but is it also better to be mistaken for Kurt Cobain? David Spade finds himself grappling with that odd, existential question this week, as images of a mural of his face accompanied by that Kurt Cobain quote (which originally came from the Neil Young song “Hey Hey, My My [Into the Black]” circulated online.

What happens when you stick three different families in one campsite over Fourth of July weekend? Well, Charlie Sheen begs to find out in the new, original Crackle film, Mad Families.
The movie focuses on three families -- one Hispanic, one African American and one Caucasian -- who all end up sharing the same camping ground when all of them refuse to leave. And Et has your first look at the chaos in the woods, when a colony of bats swarms the area, sending everyone -- Leah Remini, Finesse Mitchell, Juan Gabriel Pareja, Charlotte McKinney, Chanel Iman (Dope), Barry Shabaka Henley and Tiffany Haddish -- on the run.
The film, co-written and directed by Fred Wolf and executive produced by Sheen, is the latest in Crackle’s growing slate of original content, including Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, The Art of More with Dennis Quaid and Kate Bosworth, and the return of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee hosted...

Crackle has announced that it’s working on a new film for its library of digital exclusive movies, with Charlie Sheen set to star in Mad Families. The comedy—which sees the former Two And A Half Men and Anger Management star play to type as a “lovable man-child with a heart of gold”—centers on three families waging war over a coveted Fourth Of July camping spot.
Mad Families is being written by Fred Wolf and David Spade, whose Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser was Crackle’s first major success in the filmmaking field. (Or, at least, its first major success in getting people to tune in to a mulleted train wreck; either way, ratings were reportedly pretty good.) Wolf will also direct and produce the new film, and reportedly worked with Sheen to tailor the character to his strengths as a performer. (Which we’re just going to...

Three weeks into the New Year and it looks like we may already have a serious contender for the worst film of 2016. "Norm of the North," the Rob Schneider-led animated feature which came in sixth place with $6.8 million over the weekend, has achieved a rare feat - a perfect 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
With thirty-six reviews counted, the film has not only not had a single positive critical review but has also managed to nab an average rating of 2.7/10 - a score on par with the infamous turkey "Gigli" along with the awful remakes of 1980s horror classics like "Prom Night" and "The Fog". Even those films though managed at least one positive review each.
That score does put it ahead of two of the worst reviewed films of 2015 which both also scored a 0% Tomato-meter score - Adam Sandler's Netflix western "The Ridiculous 6" (average rating: 2.3/10) and the...

The original Joe Dirt became something of a cult classic on DVD, even moreso in our household where it gets watched at least every other month… For some reason that underdog tale of a man beaten down by life but refusing to take it, living everday to its potential really struck a chord. But the same can’t be said for the sequel, which is essentially a parody of It’s a Wonderful Life, making a mockery of the first film and the character, in a movie that feels like it was made more for the cast to have fun and work than for the audience to enjoy.

Steve Oedekerk's 2002 dubbed comedy Kung Pow: Enter the Fist is one of those comedies I'll always have to regret liking when I was around nine-or-ten years old. It's a sophomoric, slappy-happy rip-off of Woody Allen's What's Up, Tiger Lily written with all the sophistication and charm of two middle-school boys riffing on a copy of an old 1970s martial arts feature. It probably had to do with my love of kung fu -- something I still adore today -- and being of the right age. This is all to say, it's one of those black marks in my film-loving life from which I constantly atone for. It didn't make a dent in the box office, but I suppose it had a modern following on home video who clamored up its irreverence in a pre-YouTube era as I did then. Does that warrant the need to have a sequel...

Crackle is helping people worldwide turn themselves into hicks. Sony’s streaming video network has launched the Hick Yourself! app to promote the upcoming release of Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser on July 16, 2015.

Suicide Squad is going to be a dark movie. So dark that director David Ayer has hired an on-set "therapist" of sorts to help his all-star cast avoid from going too far for their roles. Talk about some stunning sisters! "Sweet Valley High" alums Brittany Daniel and Cynthia Daniel hit the blue carpet for the premiere of "Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser" in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The twins -- who starred on the beloved series together from 1994-1998 -- looked gorgeous as they posed for pics before heading into the star-studded screening. Brittany, who reprises her role Brandy in the David Spade sequel, stunned in her black halter crop top and a matching high-waisted skirt, while Cynthia looked beautiful wearing a similar baby blue ensemble. While we've rarely seen the 39-year-old actresses at public events together since starring on the show in the '90s, it does sound like the blonde beauties are working on a reboot for the series, which was adapted from Francine Pascal's books of the same name. "There is some talk right now," Brittany told reporters at the premiere.

Reprising their roles alongside Spade will be Oscar winner Christopher Walken (Wedding Crashers), Brittany Daniel (“The Game”), Dennis Miller, and Adam Beach (Flags Of Our Fathers). Patrick Warburton (“Rules of Engagement”), Mark McGrath (Sharknado 2), Charlotte McKinney (“Dancing with the Stars”) and Kevin Farley also star in the sequel.

As threatened last autumn, Sony's online streaming platform Crackle has seized the dubious opportunity of producing the first ever straight-to-digital sequel: a very belated follow-up to David Spade's 2001 cult comedy Joe Dirt. Now Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser "finally" exists, and here's a teaser trailer to prove it. And look: they got Christopher Walken! The original Joe Dirt saw the titular drifter on the road, ostensibly looking for his parents but gradually adopting a new family of similar misfits. It was basically a lot like The Outlaw Josey Wales but without the shooting or the excellence. You won't glean this from the clip, but the sequel apparently involves time travel: Joe is somehow transported back to the recent past and undertakes a quest to get back to his happy family in the present. "Beautiful Losers" is also the title of a Leonard Cohen novel. Be sure not to get the two confused.

Whether you loved the original Joe Dirt or detested its idiocy, it doesn’t really matter: a sequel is on the way. Announced back in October of last year, the movie witnesses the return of its titular white trash character who is played again by David Spade. Back one more with a rat-tailed mullet, Spade is revving the engine on another road trip that arrives some 14 years after the original and now, you can catch a glimpse of the ageing Mr. Dirt and his upcoming adventure in the the first trailer for Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser.
As comedy sequels go, it appears to hit all of the necessary marks, paying homage to the first one while throwing in some new elements to ‘spice up’ Dirt’s antics.
“Joe ‘Keeps on keepin’ on,’” the actor told EW. “He’s married now and doing his best, but things don’t all go perfectly for him,...

You already know whether or not you.re excited for Joe Dirt 2. When you heard it was happening, your first reaction was either a pained groan or an enthusiastic, "Hell yeah," followed by a whoop that scared the crap out of your neighbor.s kids. If you.re in the latter camp, today is a good day for you, because there.s a new trailer for Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, and it is stupid awesomeness. EW debuted this short new trailer, which gets a lot of the old gang back together. The mega-mulleted protagonist (David Spade) is here, obviously, it wouldn.t be much of a movie without him, but so are many other familiar faces. Brittany Daniel.s way-out-of-his-league love interest, Brandy, shows up, as do Adam Beach.s Native American fireworks salesman, Kicking Wing, and Christopher Walken.s former mob boss/informant Clem. I never saw Joe Dirt because it didn't look the least bit funny and for the same reason I have no interest in seeing Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, which just premiered its first trailer today, being sure to highlight a couple members of the cast including Christopher Walken and Patrick Warburton, but the main focus is the title character played once again by David Spade. According to IMDb the story will follow Joe Dirt back in time where he becomes rich because he knows the future, though I can't seem to find any confirmation of that. What we do know is Brittany Daniel, Dennis Miller, Adam Beach and Mark McGrath co-star. Check out the trailer and poster below. EW yt id="_f0RJxNyOgo" width="640"...

We'll have to take his word for it, but according to David Spade, there are a significant amount of people who really like "Joe Dirt" over his other movies. This should be understood as a relative statement, since he's best known for his cinematic works with the late Chris Farley. “I’ve always liked the movie a lot,” the actor told EW about why a sequel is happening. “But I also go by feedback from people I see or [what they write] on Twitter and Instagram. Besides 'Tommy Boy,' this is the most talked-about movie for me. After 10 years of people still asking about a sequel, we finally found a good way to do it…. Joe is a fun character to play. I’m stoked for everyone to see it.” Okay, but are people actually stoked to see "Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser"? At any rate, the first trailer shows Spade...

Nobody wanted it, and yet here it is: the first trailer and official poster for Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser. Yes, David Spade is back as the mullet-haired moron, reprising his role from the 2001 Happy Madison movie. As with all Happy Madison films, this looks pretty bad, but not as bad as most. I would get into the plot of the film, but I am just going to go ahead and tell you once again, this is Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser. The plot is irrelevant. Reuniting with Spade will be Brittany...

After years and years of making fans wait, Sony Pictures and David Spade have been making moves to bring the magic of Joe Dirt back to its fans. Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser has been in the pipeline since early last year, and it's set to become what Sony Pictures Television has labeled as, "the first ever made-for-digital sequel to a major motion picture" thanks to its plans to distribute through Crackle . While Spade was obviously game for returning, and Christopher Walken is back for the ride as well, there was always a question of just who else would be willing to return as well. We now have the answer to that burning question, as an official press releases from Sony has been issued, and it lists that not only are David Spade and Christopher Walken obviously in, but so are their Joe Dirt co-stars Dennis Miller, Brittany Daniel, and...
