After having fun with Lego Star Wars, I expected the same with Indiana! At first, it was indeed the case with the glorious Raider's March and the same cues of the first movie.
But after a few levels, i get immensely bored: first, the game design is awful: we can't get back to windows while playing and the menus are dumb: you have to confirm abusively to play, to quit and to load. For the game, you can't skip the animations, save the game anytime and above all, the levels are too long, too repetitive. Indy can't walk straight, he is as slippery as a soap and the action is the life of monkeys: It's about jumping, taking ropes and if you fail, you start again !
Ironically, I have just gone to a video game exhibition that proudly displays the terrific evolution of video games from Pong to those actual 3D games. As I have said in my previous reviews of video games, the goal with them is to have fun. Actually, I have more fun with a bare Pacman than with this high-tech Indy because the designers have lost the sense of play: Maybe some think it's rather good but this is not my definition of playing and I really apprehend to discover Lego Harry Potter now!
