This is a biographical limited series of Brazilian F1 champion Ayrton Senna da Silva (Gabriel Leone). Laura Harrison (Kaya Scodelario) is the half-Brazilian reporter who follows career from the early days.
Ayrton Senna is a Brazilian national hero and an F1 legend. I know nothing about the first and only a little of the second. My era is more prime Schumacher. F1 has never been my sport, but the cars are cool. Certainly, I don't know about any controversies in this movie or any accuracy debate. It does mostly take his side of the story. The first three episodes are good underdog sports story. The last three are more bumpy. The last one has great potential to be even better. I don't know if Xuxa generates enough drama. His last girlfriend gets a strange quick scene. Laura Harrison is an obvious fake character and that's fine. I would like her to be less obvious. All in all, this is a good standard sports biography.
