This is the kind of film where the ending makes the entire film, regardless of your confusion, frustration and general "why am I watching this?" attitude towards it, completely worth it and adds up to much more than the sum of its parts.
Various thoughts I had through this sitting included: "this is a rather done already cheating husband miserable wife movie", or "which one if these three main adult characters is mental?..Because somebody's mental!" That was the film planting seeds through a crazy forest, navigating you towards an absolutely brilliant twist ending.
I can't remember being this pleased investing my precious time into a supposed drama, promoted as a thriller since "Unfaithful".
I'm not usually too excited to devote much attention to Daisy Ridley, but she really shines here and by the end I couldn't possibly envision anyone who could have played this role any better.
This is one of those masterpieces in disguise that are right up my alley.
