But not by much. I think other people have said it, but I just have to say what I'm thinking, that these 10 guys had nothing better to do than to tramp around pretending to look for treasure. Anyone who's done any hiking, anyone who's hiked in Arizona, and especially in these mountains or any others, will have a laugh halfway through the first episode. They don't look like they've ever seriously done any hiking before, and how did they go for an hour or several hours of hiking without any sweat!? They don't really investigate anything they find. The first cave could have had treasure in it, it's funny to watch them try to keep a straight face when they find an arrowhead that they probably bought in Tombstone. The rocks they found that were set up as supposedly Indian messages or sacred areas look like they were set up yesterday. And it's funny that they find artifacts in areas where there are yearly monsoons and floods but look! There's the artifact right there on the trail! They follow mostly in single file, so what the front guy doesn't see the back guy will? So funny to see them going in a line into a small cave. Why don't they spread out to find more caves and why don't they go all the way to the back? Why don't they dig? Did they even bring digging tools? I don't see them making maps or taking pictures in case they forget something.
They trying to build suspense and talk about warnings and legends. Probably started by them.
And then there's a helicopter watching them ? They can't decide whether they are threatened by ancient people or present conspiracies . Almost made me laugh !
It's kind of frustrating that the experts don't seem to have any qualifications and some aren't even named.
I'll bet they've probably been there before because they own businesses in the area, and this is basically advertising? I guess it'll be fun and interesting for kids. And it is better than watching a sitcom sometimes.
