I didn't start the series with too much enthusiasm. Both the idea of a deadly virus and the vampires' depictions in my view have become stereotypical. During the 4 seasons of the series there are episodes where you want the story to stay on the main topic, without following secondary story lines and you could feel some fatigue in season 4. BUT, overall, I binge watched it. It kept me glued to the screen to see what comes next. I believe the casting was great, as I really enjoyed the actors' chemistry with each other (with the exception of the replaced Zack). I even missed some of the characters that died and I enjoyed the development arch of the ones who survived. It had some plot flaws and it could've been better. It also had great chances to continue and become quite incredible. All in all, I really enjoyed it.
