Love, Courage and the Battle of Bushy Run

I enjoyed this film despite it's awful title - why not just call it 'The Battle of Bushy Run'? The story - which I was previously unaware of - is well worth telling. I like period / historical films that dare to cover conflicts that are often overlooked. There is a good mix of characters, although the acting is a bit wooden / forced at times. The main hero is a likeable chap. The action scenes are well done at a small-scale. The uniforms are splendid - a little too good during the campaign. The film does lack the 'threat' of 'Last of the Mohicans' and the heroics of 'The Alamo'.

I'd love to see the story re-told with a bigger budget and a few star names added (no disrespect to the actors in this version that did a creditable job).
