Christina Abbs Murrell

Christina Abbs Murrell was born to Sam and Susan Murrell on January 16th 1995. Christina grew up going by the name of Abigail and later changed to Christina during college. Christina grew up in a large family, all of whom are artistically gifted. Christina's grandfather, Emil Ising, was a talented Architect and a prime inspiration in Christina's artistic endeavors. Encouraged by her older brother, Wes, Christina became interested in fashion design at the age of 12 years old. At the age of 17, Christina began taking sewing classes and was accepted into Stephens College where she received a design scholarship. Christina ultimately attended Missouri State University due to an ongoing medical condition. While pursuing fashion design, Christina realized her passion was for costuming in film and decided to tailor her portfolio for costume design. Throughout college, Christina volunteered at a local children theatre in the costume department. Christina graduated with honors in May 2017 and interned with The Municipal Theatre throughout the duration of the 2017 summer. Christina moved to Los Angeles the fall of 2017.
