Warning: contains finale spoilers for The Deceived
‘This has all been about your fragile little ego, hasn’t it?’ Ophelia told Michael in The Deceived’s final episode, and she was dead-on. Dr Michael Callaghan, played by Emmett J Scanlan, was poison to the women around him. He lied, cheated and manipulated to conceal his inadequacies, and in the end, paid the price. With spoilers, here’s how the psychological thriller’s finale played out.
What happened to Annabelle?
Before Michael’s affair with Ophelia (played by Emily Reid), he was cheating on his wife with another student – Annabelle Lorimer (played by Saffron Coomber). She had written the manuscript of her first novel – The Ruin – and asked him to read it. Realising it was good, and having failed to get his own first novel published, Michael stole her work, changed the title, and had it published as his own debut.

Fresh from the success of the “Downton Abbey” film, Oscar and Emmy winner Julian Fellowes returns with “Belgravia,” a new limited series on Epix that he’s adapted from his 2016 best-selling novel. Set in the well-heeled London neighborhood in the 1840s, the story chronicles the lives of the aristocratic Bellasise family and the upwardly mobile Trenchards.
Epix is rolling out this six-parter weekly with a new episode debuting every Sunday night. But Emmy voters don’t have to wait to see how the story unfolds – they can visit the Epix Fyc site to watch all six episodes now. “Belgravia” was directed by two-time BAFTA nominee John Alexander. With just one helmer for all the episodes, “Belgravia” has the feel of a film. That feeling is underscored by composer John Lunn, who won two Emmys for his work on “Downton Abbey.”

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Belgravia.”]
Did you like “Downton Abbey”? Yes, of course! Everyone liked “Downton Abbey”!

Let me rephrase that: Did you like the fourth, fifth, and sixth seasons of “Downton Abbey”? You know, the ones after you-know-who died in a car crash? The one where beloved character was raped? The ones where there was a hideous crisis du jour and the melodrama was no longer so….mellow?
“Belgravia”, debuting April 12 on Epix, is executive produced by the “Downton Abbey” team of Julian Fellowes, Nigel Marchant, Gareth Neame, and Liz Trubridge and contains both the best and the worst of that show. Like “Downton,” the production design, hair and makeup, and costumes are outstanding — at one point the titular London neighborhood of...

Fresh from the success of the “Downton Abbey” film, Oscar and Emmy winner Julian Fellowes returns with “Belgravia,” a new limited series on Epix that he’s adapted from his 2016 best-selling novel. Watch the teaser trailer above for a taste of the fun to come in 2020.
Set in the well-heeled London neighborhood in the 1840s, the story chronicles the lives of the aristocratic Bellasise family and the upwardly mobile Trenchards. The plot pivots on one eventful night a quarter-century prior when, on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo, British society gathered in Brussels for the Duchess of Richmond’s ball (Thackeray set the climax of his classic novel “Vanity Fair” there as well.)
For Sophia Trenchard (Emily Reid), daughter of the chief supplier to the British Army, this one night changes her destiny. Her fate becomes intertwined with that of the Bellasise brood, much as Matthew’s did with the Crawley clan in “Downton.

Who would’ve though that back in the 90s, when the original film debuted, we’d still be talking about the Leprechaun franchise over 25 years later? It almost didn’t happen of course. The previous film in the series, Leprechaun Origins – produced by the WWE no less And a film that had a small theatrical run in the Us – almost… almost, killed the franchise stone dead. However Syfy, god bless their genre-loving souls, decided to give the series another shot – this time under the auspices of one of the members of Astron-6, director Steven Kostanski and writer Suzanne Kelly, who gave Evil Dead fans one the The best episodes of Ash vs Evil Dead in the episode “Ashy Slashy”. The SyFy Network has released the first trailer for Leprechaun Returns. This is the first film in the series, since 2014's Leprechaun: Origins. There have been a total of eight films in the franchise, with the first one starring Jennifer Anniston and Warwick Davis, way back in 1993. This latest title follows the first film, with a Leprechaun searching for his pot-o-gold. Meanwhile, a sorority house is being built over his golden stash. This latest film stars: Taylor Spreitler, Sai Bennett, Pepi Sonuga, Ben McGregor, and Emily Reid. Steven Kostanski (The Void) has directed this feature, with more film details below. A creature feature, Leprechaun Returns was developed by a number of production companies. SyFy has been involved, along with Blue Ice Pictures and Out of Africa Entertainment. This team endeavour is slated for a mid-December run on Digital platforms. This latest film follows a similar plot, compared to the original.

"I've got a lot of killin' to make up for...!" Syfy has released an official trailer for the upcoming horror sequel Leprechaun Returns, being release straight-to-vod in December. Remarkably, the Leprechaun series is currently on its eighth film. The most recent two were Leprechaun: Origins in 2014 (did anyone see this?) and Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood, of course, back in 2003. This new one even includes an old character from the original 1993 film, Mark Holton. And unfortunately Warwick Davis is not back this time, instead Linden Porco plays the super creepy Leprechaun. He returns once again, when a group of girls unwillingly awaken him, while they tear down a cabin so that they can build a new sorority house. The full cast includes Taylor Spreitler, Sai Bennett, Pepi Sonuga, Ben McGregor, and Emily Reid. This seriously looks crazy messed up and seriously twisted, not to mention packed with a bunch of bad one-liners.

After channeling body-morphing cosmic horrors in The Void, co-director Steven Kostanski is stepping into established franchise territory for his next project: a new Leprechaun sequel from Syfy.
Announced by Syfy in a new teaser video featuring Linden Porco as the Leprechaun (a role played by Warwick Davis in the first six films in the horror franchise, with Dylan "Hornswoggle" Postl playing the role in the most recent entry, Leprechaun: Origins), the new Leprechaun sequel is titled Leprechaun Returns and will premiere on Syfy in March of 2019.
According to Syfy, the new movie will bring back the murderous Leprechaun 25 years after the events of the first film in the franchise, with sorority sisters—played by Taylor Spreitler (Kevin Can Wait), Pepi Sonuga (Ash vs Evil Dead), and Sai Bennett (Lake Placid: Legacy)—inadvertently resurrecting the titular terror after demolishing a cabin to make way for a new sorority headquarters.
