Irina Ryan

Irina Ryan is an American actress, best known for playing Doug and Clair's maid, opposite Fred Armisen in Portlandia's episode "Doug Becomes a Feminist".
Irina attended acting classes in Seattle, and was discovered by her current casting agent. In 2011 she made her debut on television, appearing in several regional commercials (2011 - 2016) and episodes of The "Librarians" (2015) and "Portlandia" (2015).
She was born Irina Petrovna Bekker in Kazakhstan (in the former USSR) to her Russian mother and German father. She relocated to Omsk Russia in 1991 to attend college and graduated with a Bachelors of Engineering and a Masters of Business administration.
Irina was 27 when she and her 5-year-old daughter emigrated to the United States, where she settled in Northern California and married. After relocating to Washington State and eventually developed Banking, Customer Service and Educational careers, she was introduced to acting in Extraordinary Measures in 2010 as an extra and knew exactly what she wanted to do in her life. On May 19, 2001, in Northern California, she married her Fiancé, whom she met a year prior. On January 30, 2003, Irina and her husband, became parents of their second child, a girl. Their third child, a boy, was born in 2008.
Outside of her acting profession, Irina loves reading, traveling, teaching her students and working as a Russian/English interpreter.
