Chilling Off-Grid Thriller 'Neon Lights' Trailer Starring Dana Abraham
Rouzbeh Heydari
"A brilliant mind is its own worst enemy." Momentum Pics has revealed a new trailer for an indie horror thriller titled Neon Lights, from an Iranian-Canadian filmmaker named Rouzbeh Heydari. This is opening on VOD in July in this US this summer. Guests begin disappearing in an off-grid location, during a family reunion of misfit siblings and their offspring. The film follows a tech tycoon, as played by the co-writer & producer of the film, who retreats to an off the grid location in search of meaning and peace. I wonder if it's another fantasy tale about how wealthy tech businessman are actually the real assholes? Starring Dana Abraham, Brenna Coates, Brit MacRae, Stephen Tracey, Rene Escobar Jr, Lauren Howe, Kim Coates, & Erika Swayze. The colored rooms are pretty cool, but the rest of it seems rather uninteresting. Here's the official US trailer (+ poster) for Rouzbeh Heydari's Neon Lights, direct from YouTube: A tech tycoon,...

Stars: Kaitlyn Bernard, Brenna Llewellyn, Brenna Coates, Keilani Elizabeth Rose, Jasmine Randhawa, Carly Fawcett, Natalie Malaika, Aleks Paunovic, Lochlyn Munro, Dylan Playfair, Tahmoh Penikett, Loretta Walsh, Elysia Rotaru, Michael Eklund | Written by Courtney Paige, Erin Hazlehurst, Madison Smith | Directed by Courtney Paige

What do attractive teens get up to in 2020? They vape and go on that TikTok, right? Wrong! They form cults. Honestly, kids today. Back when I was young, I used to drink alcohol until I lost control of my body and my Mum had to come and rescue me. As God intended.

The Sinners kicks off strong as we are introduced to our narrators’ body in a lake, with a rose in her mouth, and then skip back to a normal, morning some time before in which Christianity is rammed down her throat as a matter of course.

The protagonist, and her group of friends have stumbled into...

New Trailer for Murder Mystery 'The Sinners' About Seven Schoolgirls
Alain Delon, Romy Schneider, and Maurice Ronet in The Swimming Pool (1969)
"They are asking for trouble with that behavior!" Brainstorm Media has released an official trailer for an indie thriller titled The Sinners, formerly known as The Color Rose, marking the feature directorial debut of actress Courtney Paige. This originally premiered at the Mammoth Film Festival last year, and arrives on VOD early next month. The Sinners is a thrilling murder mystery about seven girls from a religious town that start a cult where they embody the seven deadly sins. They realize there's more to their small religious town after they go missing one by one after a prank goes wrong. The indie horror-thriller stars Kaitlyn Bernard, Brenna Coates, Brenna Llewellyn, Aleks Paunovic, Lochlyn Munro, Michael Eklund, and Tahmoh Pinikett. It looks a tad cliche and cheesy, with the religious undertones, but still quite eerie. Here's the new official trailer (+ poster) for Courtney Paige's The Sinners, direct from YouTube: You...

I think you all know me by now and realise that I am willing to give pretty much anything a fair shake. The Sinners synopsis did read like a bit of a change pace as well, moving into the more teen angs drama territory with a promise of some sort of “Mean Girls meets The Craft” hybrid. Of course I wasn’t the biggest fan of Let’s Scare Julie which felt like it was trying to do a similar things. So I was quietly hoping that this one would win me over…

The Sinners - Jennie Kermode - 16316
Courtney Paige
A high school clique. Glamour, exclusivity, bad reputations. Artfully arranged dead girls with roses pressed between their lips. The Sinners plays the part so well that you'd be forgiven for thinking it was just more of the usual, but this is Courtney Paige's film, and she's taking it somewhere very different.

One of the opening night selections for Frightfest's October 2020 edition, this is the story of a group of girls who don't so much choose to form a clique as get pushed into one, being labelled sinners because they don't share the values held by most people in their Evangelical Christian town (though one remains keen to point out "We're not atheists!"). Taking ownership of the slur, they decide that each of them will embody one of the Deadly Sins, though only Wrath (Brenna Coates) seems committed to it full time. Lust (Kaitlyn Bernard) is a pastor's daughter and.

‘Cagefighter: Worlds Collide’ Review
Image
Stars: Alex Montagnani, Jon Moxley, Gina Gershon, Chuck Liddell, Jay Reso, Brenna Coates, Lowell Dean, Elijah Baker, Rigan Machado, Luke Rockhold | Written by and Directed by Jesse Quinones

The film Jon Moxley made in-between his run in WWE as Dean Ambrose and his debut in Aew (this film uses footage from that promotion And seemingly used some fans for the fight crowd scenes too) Cagefighter: Worlds Collide is another sports underdog story – this time seemingly built around the same fighter comes good story, the road to redemption arc, that made the Rocky films such classics. Though this film doesn’t go the bombastic route that the Rocky franchise did. No, whilst we do get the typical tropes of a fight movie – training montages, uplifting score etc. – it also presents a somewhat realer story that you’d expect.

I was honestly surprised at how “British” Cagefighter: Worlds Collide is. Filmed in Canada and London,...

The Sinners (2020)
Seven Girls Start a Cult in 'The Color Rose' Trailer with Kaitlyn Bernard
The Sinners (2020)
"All my friends are dying, and it's all my fault..." Rock Salt Releasing has unveiled an official trailer for an indie cult drama titled The Color Rose, marking the directorial debut of Canadian filmmaker Courtney Paige - who also co-stars in the film. Seven girls decide to start a cult where each of them must embody one of the seven deadly sins. They realize there's more to their religious town after they go missing one by one. Described as "a compelling and haunting tale with eerie twists", of course, which is exactly what the story sounds like anyway. This stars Kaitlyn Bernard, Loretta Walsh, Elysia Rotaru, Brenna Llewellyn, Brenna Coates, Keilani Elizabeth Rose, Jasmine Randhawa, Carly Fawcett, Aleks Paunovic, and Lochlyn Munro. This looks rather bland and derivative, without anything new or interesting going on. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Courtney Paige's The Color Rose, direct from YouTube...
