Born and raised in Los Angeles County, Truman Kewley dropped out of high school and began delivering newspapers to film studios at the age of 16.
He pursued a higher education under unorthodox circumstances, acquiring a counterfeit high school diploma to attend city college, where he boldly invested his student loans into a camera, lighting equipment and audio gear.
Kewley's relentless grind yielded not only technical prowess but also invaluable relationships with major record labels. His directorial aptitude became evident through a diverse portfolio of documentaries and music videos spanning across genres - from the electrifying energy of legendary metal band Lamb of God to the captivating charisma of controversial hip-hop sensation Lil Pump. A decade in music incubated his passion for writing, directing and storytelling, leading to his directorial feature debut, "Beautiful Friend."
