Rufus Burns is an American television, theatre and film actor.
He was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to Dorothy S. Burns, artist and L.R. Burns, telecommunication specialist. He discovered his passion for acting while studying at Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Indiana. There he attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Acting.
He went on to study at the University of Missouri - Kansas City's professional actor training program where he received his Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting in 2012.
Rufus' breakout project came in the form of the viral sensation trailer Bel-Air. Other notable roles include a lead in an Austin Film Festival's Audience Award winning feature film Terrible Love, and an HBO UrbanWorld Official Selection TV-project Black Title Here.
