Cameron Bell, born Cameron George Hugo Bell in Surrey in the United Kingdom, got the passion for acting at a young age. With no formal acting training, he secured both lead and supporting roles in school plays at Gordon's School where he was educated from the ages of 13 to 18. At 17, he answered an open casting call for 'Hairspray' for the theatre group Songtime Theatre Arts, now called the British Theatre Academy, leading to his first lead actor award for the portrayal of Daddy Warbucks in 'Annie'.
At the age of 20 and after gaining more lead and supporting roles in shows such as 'Billy Elliott' and 'Fame', he took the decision to move from musical theatre to straight theatre and enjoyed performing in new fringe writings in North London where he studied at London Metropolitan University, gaining a joint degree in Film and Theatre Studies.
In 2012, Cameron decided to turn from straight theatre to film acting and got his first leading film role in the short film 'Snap', with Ravensbourne University in London.
Since 'Snap', Cameron has secured lead and supporting roles in films that have gained multiple award wins and nominations in multiple national and international film festivals.
