One Piece's creator, Eichiro Oda, reveals the truth about one of the most mysterious plot points in his beloved series, but it also comes with disappointing news for fans. The Rocky Port Incident was first mentioned more than 10 years ago in chapter #700, and what really happened on that day has finally come to light.
While One Piece is on a short hiatus, Weekly Shonen Jump will publish Oda's answers to ten of the best and most important questions asked by fans. The answers, which will be published in issue #49 of Weekly Shonen Jump, are already circulating online, and a fan inquired about the infamous Rocky Port Incident. Unfortunately, not only did Oda not give a detailed explanation as to what happened that day, but he also said that the Rocky Port incident would not be shown in the manga, which is not good given the scale and importance of that event.

One game-changing episode can elevate a TV show, revealing important information or shifting the story's focus. The Bear's episode "Fishes" uses a flashback to provide context and further character development, enhancing the show's storytelling. "I Have a Thing About Bathrooms" marks a turning point in Killing Eve, shifting the focus to the palpable tension between Eve and Villanelle.
A single episode can change everything for a TV show, elevating it from "good" to "great." Perhaps there is no real reason for that one episode to turn the show into a major success, and it just happened to have better writing or feature a significant moment in the story. Maybe the episode was the moment when the audience became truly invested in the story, or a key character was introduced.
It is hard to imagine that there was a time before Eve and Villanelle properly met in Killing Eve; when Walt White...

Blackbear and Mike Posner are explaining the meaning behind the Ariana Grande reference in their new song, “… The Green Spangled Banner.”
The musicians recently teamed up to release their second album together, Mansionz 2.
The opening track, which has the Ariana reference, sets the tone for an intentionally chaotic and experimental project.
The duo explained their reasoning behind that lyric during a Thursday (November 2) interview on The Zach Sang Show.
Keep reading to find out more…
In the song, they rap, “We’re gonna treat you like an Ariana Grande song.”
When asked about the line during their interview, Blackbear replied, “Well, she has, like, the ’69′ song, and she has all these songs, like, ‘I’m gonna ride it’ and ‘I can’t walk for weeks.’”
“Yeah she does,” Mike agreed. Blackbear added, “‘Side to side,’ ’69.’”
Mike noted, “They’re really intense.”

This year’s Stagecoach Festival was a love letter to country music’s past and a nod to its wide-open future. While the festival — the genre’s largest, most rollicking reunion that takes place in California’s low desert the week after Coachella — was sparse on guest appearances (no Axl Rose, this time), the level of showmanship and raw talent was high.

On day two of Stagecoach 2023, Kane Brown delivered one of the most candid moments at this year’s festival, opening up about his struggle with depression before performing his new track “Memory,” which features Blackbear.
Brown took the stage flanked with pyrotechnics and played a range of high-energy hits from “Famous Friends” to “One Mississippi.” Halfway through his set, the tempo slowed, and he spoke directly to the audience. “How many of you go through depression?” he asked. “Don’t be scared. How many of you? I go through it.

CAA has signed filmmaker Megan Park for representation.
Park’s feature directorial debut, “The Fallout,” premiered at SXSW in 2021 and took home the festival’s grand jury prize and audience award, as well as the first-ever Brightcove Illumination Award for writing the screenplay. The film was released on HBO Max in Jan. 2022 and stars Jenna Ortega and Maddie Ziegler, following the teenagers as they attempt to rebuild their lives after a school tragedy.
Park was named one of Variety’s “10 Directors to Watch” for 2022 and also won the Toronto International Film Festival’s Rising Star Award and an Emerging Directors Award from the Cannes Film Festival.
Before transitioning to directing, Park was best known for her work on camera, starring in “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “What If” and “Charlie Bartlett.” After growing up on film sets since her teen years, she was comfortable, but not totally fulfilled.

For a movie titled with all the sophistication of the phrase “search engine optimization,” the bloody action comedy “Cocaine Bear” delivers on its promises. Though it may sound like the hottest gay bar in Medellín, the gayest thing about “Cocaine Bear” is Margo Martindale’s brazen flirtation with Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Categorically undefinable by design, Elizabeth Banks’ outrageously grisly comedy uses a deep roster of talent for her cash grab, serving A-list backing with B-movie appeal. It’s neither groundbreaking nor particularly smart, but it’s 95 minutes of over-the-top fun. It’s

A lot of weird stuff has happened since the start of the pandemic, and studios are already working like clockwork to crank out film adaptations of that weirdness. In one of the most high-profile ventures, "Dumb Money" looks to tell the story of that time in 2021 when a bunch of Reddit investors broke the stock market by causing the stocks in GameStop, a barely surviving company, to skyrocket. Earlier this year, a documentary about the situation called "GameStop: Rise of the Players" became available to watch on Hulu, but this will be the first live-action retelling.
The story is based on the book "The Antisocial Network: The GameStop Short Squeeze and the Ragtag Group of Amateur Traders That Brought Wall Street to Its Knees" by Ben Mezrich. The screenplay was adapted by Rebecca Angelo & Lauren Schuker Blum, and the film will be directed by the current king of ripped-from-the-headlines adaptations,...

Before Lizzo made her rousing speech calling out her haters or Fergie crashed Jack Harlow's "First Class" performance, all of the night's biggest celebs hit the red carpet to show off their designer outfits and chat with the 70+ outlets that packed into the press line for the first full-blown VMAs since the pandemic derailed the 2020 show. There was plenty of action on, around and above the MTV VMA stages at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Sunday night: Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance and not only took home the prize for Video of the Year (for “All Too Well”), she also announced her forthcoming new album, “Midnights”; Nicki Minaj took home the Video Vanguard award and delivered a performance that ranged from pink pop to torture-porn; and Latin had a bigger look than ever before, with eye-popping performances from Bad Bunny, J Balvin and Anitta, the latter of whom became the first Brazilian artist to win Best Latin Artist for her song “Envolver.”
Yet there was plenty of action off-camera as well. On the red carpet in the hours before the show, Jack Harlow arrived early, clad in a leather-ish dark grey suit (which would have been suffocatingly hot if the Tri-State area...

Since the MTV Video Music Awards brought back their Best Alternative category in 2020, Machine Gun Kelly has dominated, winning in 2020 for “Bloody Valentine” and again in 2021 for “My Ex’s Best Friend” featuring Blackbear. He’s nominated again in 2022 for “Emo Girl” featuring Willow. Can he go three-for-three, or will he be stopped by an artist with a much bigger hit?
As of this writing Imagine Dragons and Jid are the front-runners for their collab “Enemy,” according to the combined predictions of hundreds of Gold Derby users. They get leading odds of 8/1. They only have one previous VMA victory: Best Rock for “Whatever It Takes” in 2018. And they were nominated for Best Alternative last year for “Follow You” but lost to Mgk. Machine Gun Kelly and UFC Champ Conor McGregor got into a scuffle just before the broadcast of the MTV Video Music Awards at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, according to multiple reports.
Photos snapped on the red carpet show both men being pulled apart, with McGregor’s drink hurled at Kelly. Kelly, wearing a red glittered suit, shielded girlfriend Megan Fox from harm as security guards pulled McGregor away.
Shortly after, Mgk, who was nominated (and later won) for his hit “My Ex’s Best Friend” featuring Blackbear, stopped by Variety‘s red carpet spot where he was asked what happened, but declined to answer (watch video above).
TMZ reports that the skirmish happened after Kelly refused a photo with the Irish UFC fighter. Sources are quoted as saying that McGregor stumbled, spilled his drink then threw the remainder at Kelly.

The rock and alternative fields at the Grammys are always interesting. Due to their eclectic mix of hard rock, alternative pop, and pop/rock, the fields are often a fun blend of commercial and critical picks, as well as some beloved industry players we see often. This year in particular, with no nomination review committees to filter the noms, who could we see get recognition in these coveted categories?
SEETop 4 Grammy trends to watch out for now that the nomination review committees are gone

Music from some of the 2021 nominees is eligible, with the exception of tracks from Best Alternative Album winner “Fetch the Bolt Cutters” by Fiona Apple, Best Engineered Album winner “Hyperspace” by Beck, and Best Rock Album winner “The New Abnormal” by The Strokes (and any other Grammy-winning album in other genres).

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards are almost here, so it’s time to take a look at some more top categories. This time, let’s consider who leads the genre races for the top artists of the year.
Top Rap Artist
One of the hardest categories this year, this is one where I could genuinely see anyone winning. I’m going to settle on the late Pop Smoke; his album “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon” was just massive and is still launching singles on the Hot 100, and he did consistently well on all the year-end Billboard charts for 2020. Still, Lil Baby ended up slightly higher on the overall Top Artists list.
So it’s going to depend on who was more successful for those couple of months after the year-ends: the BBMAs eligibility period is March 21, 2020 through April 3, 2021, while the year-end charts only considered achievements through November 2020. So...

The lives of novelists, filmmakers, musicians, and athletes have often been fodder for great works of art. But it’s possible that Operation: Wake Up, this odd little concept record from Mike Posner, is the first attempt to turn the slings and arrows of being a pop songwriter for hire into a meaningful narrative. Posner has had success with self-referential projects in the past; his biggest hit to date is 2015’s “I Took A Pill in Ibiza,” a clever, catchy bit of trend opportunism released at the height of America...

Trashily lachrymose and full of easily digestible angst, it’s a record festooned with indie-signifying titles “Bloody Valentine” and “Jawbreaker,” though its cover photo of Kelly looking defiant and tortured holding a pink guitar by an empty pool...
