Hello, everyone! This week’s horror and sci-fi home media release slate is a rather small one, as we only have five different titles headed to Blu-ray and DVD today. With that in mind, May 3rd’s home media lineup includes Kandisha and Martyrs Lane from Rlje Films, Dinosaur World on Blu-ray and DVD from Shout Factory, Female Werewolf, and Yokai.

The latest edition of the Indie Spotlight contains all of the recent independent horror news sent our way. Having seen its New York premiere last month during Brooklyn's Philip K. Dick International Film Festival (where it won Best Horror Film), the experimental, dialogue-free arthouse scare flick is now coming to Times Square's Times Scare January 29 for a special engagement with Alexander and cast on hand.

In the film, "a dying predator (Shauna Henry) stalks the streets at night looking for blood. She has lived over a century; tormented by painful memories, living in a run-down seaside motel. Her perceptions skewed, her body and mind revolting against her, her private hell is mirrored by the motel’s manager, driven by an obsession to protect Irina and keep her secrets safe. A broken prostitute (Carrie Gemmell) whose desperate plight may be worse than Irina's, also haunts the water’s edge."

Organized by Fango contributor John Nicol and myself, Fangoria’S Black Sunday at Club 3030 was a splendid affair, packed with pundits poured into costumes of all kinds and featuring FX man Paul Jones, who brought his Red Pyramid suit from Silent Hill: Revelation and made up one of the bartenders as a Sh nurse. Paul and I even hosted a wild, barely controlled costume contest.

The substances flowed freely, the vintage pinball machines dinged and the music blasted until the wee hours. A good time was had by all, with Canadian Fango freaks and new converts sharing space and braving Sandy’s wrath (yes, up here we also took a smaller smack from the storm).

Thanks to Fango fotographer and contributor David Goodfellow, we even have the pics to prove that the party was legit. Have a look…
