Garry was picture-picked to photo double for Kodi Smit-McPhee in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes for all of the re-shoots. Smit-McPhee was filming another project in Australia at the time. This involved speaking all of the lines with the cast in Smit-McPhee's scenes. Camera work, green screen, audio-dubbing, and editing combined the two angles as if Smit-McPhee was there.
