There's a hot new show currently in production that is officially on our radar.
Two reasons:
Writer-Director Bruce Wabbit is a protegé of Christopher Nolan, having done visual effects work for him on "The Dark Knight Trilogy." The premise of the show is described as "Breaking Bad" meets "Dexter."
Based on a short graphic novel, "The Wronged One" started out as a web series on YouTube with a cult following. The episodes ran 7-10 minutes long, featuring mostly unknown actors. During its run, it got the attention of the Independent Film Channel (IFC), which was going to feature it on its website.
Our source admits the first season was a little rough around the edges at first, and when they finally started getting into a creative groove, the viewership fizzled out.
Cut to 3 years later.
