Once you get seriously into gaming, you will quickly notice there are two types of characters.

Playable characters, usually the central protagonist and or a group of friends the protagonists interact with that you occasionally control.

You’re bound to run into some memorable enemies along the way, with their Shakespearean monologues and super laser weapon systems.

Most of the characters you see will be “Non-playable characters” who have no real personalities but just sort of limp along with you to advance the plot.

It turns out that these NPCs are all over television, too.

Some of these NPCs are obvious.

They’re not quite at the level of “characters overstaying their welcome,” but they do seem to elicit a ho-hum from most of the audience.

We’ve reached the end. Paramount+’s Seal Team season seven episode nine ended with Nazario in custody and Jason and Drew off on a separate mission to kill Curtis. Episode 10, “The Last Word,” will bring the team back together and finish up storylines for characters fans have come to love.

Jason added to his body count and Bravo discovered they have a traitor in their midst on Paramount+’s Seal Team season seven episode eight. Episode nine will find the team reeling from that discovery. “The Sea and the Hills” is set to stream on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

The countdown to the end of Paramount+’s Seal Team stands at just three new episodes, with season seven episode eight set to stream on Sunday, September 15, 2024. The final season’s been an emotional roller coaster, and episode eight, “Appetite for Destruction,” promises to continue to up the ante as we edge toward the October 6th series finale.

Only four new episodes remain in the seventh and final season of Paramount+’s military drama Seal Team. Season seven episode seven, “Mission Creep,” has the team back together and off to Honduras. “Mission Creep” will stream on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

Tensions boiled over and the truth spilled out on Paramount+’s Seal Team season seven episode five. And now, thanks to a decision Jason makes to be home with his son, the action in episode six takes place without Bravo’s leader. Paramount+’s Seal Team season seven episode four found Ray questioning Jason’s motivations. And the description of episode five, “A Perfect Storm,” seems to indicate there will be a little trouble in the ranks. Episode five streams on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Seal Team's Justin Melnick had a brush with death this weekend.

The actor fell from a helicopter during a private commercial shoot on Saturday, according to reports.

The reports claim that Melnick fell 15-20 feet from a helicopter while fast-roping during a shoot near Blue Cloud Movie Ranch in Santa Clarita, Calif.

Variety confirmed the news, noting that "the Los Angeles County Fire Department then transported the man to the hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening."

Melnick first started appearing on Seal Team as a dog handler, but was recently upped to recurring in the role of Brock Reynolds.

The incident in question was not in relation to the CBS drama series, but he was working with a dog during the stunt that went horribly wrong.

The good news is that the four-legged friend is also recovering and in good condition.

“Seal Team” actor Justin Melnick is recovering at home after falling from a helicopter during a private commercial shoot on Saturday, Variety has confirmed.

Reports first surfaced last night that a stuntman fell 15-20 feet from a helicopter while fast-roping during a shoot near Blue Cloud Movie Ranch in Santa Clarita, Calif. The Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Variety that the Los Angeles County Fire Department then transported the man to the hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

A representative for Melnick said that the actor is doing fine and recovering at home, adding that the shoot was in no way associated with “Seal Team.” The dog that Melnick was performing the stunt with is also recovering and in good condition.

Representatives for Blue Cloud Movie Ranch did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.

Updated, Exclusive Sunday, 3:06Pm: Deadline has learned that the person who was injured yesterday after falling from a helicopter outside the Blue Cloud Movie Ranch in Santa Clarita, CA was Seal Team actor Justin Melnick. However, the accident the actor was involved with was on a private commercial shoot and completely unrelated to the CBS action war series.

Melnick previously served as the dog handler on Seal Team before being promoted to a recurring actor status, playing Brock Reynolds. Deadline hears that Melnick is home and recouping with no serious injuries. Authorities yesterday said that he fell 15 to 20 feet while fast roping from the helicopter.

A Seal Team shakeup may be looming, as Season 4 of the CBS drama addresses numerous career cliffhangers facing Jason, Ray, Mandy and others.

When last we tuned in, the action-drama had fallen two episodes shy of its planned season finale, due to the pandemic. As such, multiple careers hung in the balance, as Bravo members mulled moves that were upward, lateral or (gulp) into civilian life.

Just weeks after getting a premiere date at CBS, Seal Team Season 4 has already suffered a major setback.

The David Boreanaz-fronted drama series has been delayed by one week, pushing its highly-anticipated return to December.

But there's some good news.

Seal Team Season 4 will now commence with a two-hour premiere, so we're waiting an extra week, but getting two episodes on night one.

The reason for the delay is that the planned premiere date (November 25) will now feature a double pump of The Amazing Race.

The reality series was set to air two episodes this week, but it was trimmed to one due to election coverage, so the move appears to have had a knock-on effect on the CBS schedule.

S.W.A.T. Season 4 is still slated to launch November 11, but it will be in the 10/9c slot.

As for what's ahead, here's the official logline for the Seal Team premiere.

Seal Team has outlasted the competition, becoming one of CBS’s most watched shows. The perfect compatibility of the Bravo team under the leadership of Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) made the military drama addictive to its audience. After three seasons and with minor changes to the cast, it is hard to imagine that there was any hardship fitting together in the first season.

Most of the people that have become key stars of the team, including Brock, portrayed by Justin Melnick, were actually never expected to last this long on the show. The show's perfect ratings have earned the cast a spot at the top and fans may be surprised to learn these interesting facts about them.

Over the weekend, warriors and supporters were honored at the Wounded Warrior Project (Wwp) Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner at Gotham Hall.

This annual gala recognizes the service and dedication of those who make Wwp’s mission possible and inspire others to do more for our nation’s wounded warriors.

Three awards were given out during the evening, each recognizing the efforts of those who have gone above and beyond supporting the needs of warriors. Marine Corps veteran Andrew Coughlan received the Courage Award, which is given to a warrior, family member, or caregiver who embodies the Wwp core values of service, integrity, and loyalty. Longtime Wwp partner Usaa received the Empowerment Award for their commitment to going above and beyond supporting the needs of our returning warriors. And Tom Cocchiarella of St. Paul, Minnesota received the Service Award for his continuous efforts at the local level to rally supporters for Wwp.

Dita, a three-year-old Belgian Malinois, plays an explosives detection dog on CBS specialized forces drama “Seal Team,” performing stunts from helicopter rides to climbing ladders. Her handler, Justin Melnick, originally trained her to be a part of search and rescue during his work with a real life small town police force in Indiana but later switched her to narcotics detection. “Everything we do on the show is for real, and it’s all training for her,” Melnick says.

What first inspired you to go down this path of armed forces and law enforcement?

I spent about six years working all over the world as a combat photographer, and it culminated in Afghanistan — I spent three months embedded with the troops in Afghanistan, traveled the entire country by ground [and] by air, came back and I wanted to join the military. What I saw over there motivated me to want to be apart of the solution.
