Brian O'Hara(IX)
- Actor
Brian is a bit of a late bloomer to the acting profession. He met
Writer/Director Kevin Hill on a flight from New York to Los Angeles in
2004. Kevin told Brian that he had written a film titled "A Parking
Space", and that he was perfect for the lead role. Brian had no
previous acting experience. After much coaxing from Kevin, Brian
decided to give it a try, and took the part. He met Emmy nominated
Cinematographer, Cira Felina Bolla on that film, and has since been
cast in five of her films, in both lead and supporting roles. Brian has
a supporting role in "Life of Lemon", written by, and starring fellow
Bostonian, Barry Kneller. The film also stars Dan Lauria, Beth Grant,
Mimi Kennedy and Rachel Miner. The independent film is set to premier
in early 2011. He has studied at Carter Thor Studio with well known
acting coach, Jock MacDonald. Brian feels that he comes by his love for
acting quite naturally. His father, Wally O'Hara, who is now retired,
was a well known radio personality and actor in Boston for over fifty
years. Brian enjoys playing both comedic and dramatic roles. His strong
Irish look gets him cast as police officers, detectives and priests
quite often. He has definitely been bitten by the acting bug, and
continues to audition and take roles in independent films. He looks
forward to whatever acting opportunities lie ahead.
