Bonnie Sveen

At 18 Bonnie was accepted into NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art) packing up her life in country Tasmania and moving to Sydney. After graduating Bonnie's acting career began in TV, playing the role of Chadara in Starz Network's Spartacus; Blood and Sand. When she landed Ricky Sharpe in 2012, in Home & Away, Bonnie became a household name and went on to receive the Logie Award in 2014 for 'Most Popular New Talent'. After wrapping up her journey in Summer Bay, Bonnie played Layla in two seasons of 7 Network's The Secret Daughter. In 2018 she was in Aussie war flick, Escape and Evasion (Netflix Aus & NZ) playing relentless journalist and grieving twin Rebecca Stansbury. Bonnie has twin girls and is an ambassador for Save the Tassie Devil Appeal and IFAW Australia. She has been a Director and Board Member for Friends of Bonorong since 2020. Bonnie is also an artist, a writer and a filmmaker - her short film Riley premiered at the Far South Film Festival 2023 and has won awards and been selected in festivals in Prague, Cannes, Buenos Aires, Abruzzo and Scotland.
