Tom Taylor was born in 1978 in Melbourne, Australia.
He is a multi-award-winning and #1 New York Times best-selling comic book author, screenwriter and playwright.
Taylor is the co-creator, lead writer and executive producer of the CG animated television series, The Deep.
On top of his film and television work, Taylor has written for Marvel Entertainment, DC Comics, Lucasfilm/Dark Horse, and Gestalt Publishing.
For Marvel, he has written titles for such characters as Spider-Man, X-Men, Wolverine and Iron Man.
For DC Comics, he wrote the world-wide bestselling comic, Injustice: Gods Among Us, featuring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, as well as the Batman/Superman series, and created all new characters for DC's Earth 2.
For Gestalt Comics, Tom created The Deep graphic novels with illustrator, James Brouwer. Both volumes won the Aurealis Award in 2012 and 2014, Australia's premier speculative fiction literary prize.
For Lucasfilm/Dark Horse, Tom wrote several Star Wars titles, including the global hit series, Star Wars: Blood Ties, which was named MTV's number one Star Wars series and won the 2012 Stan Lee Excelsior Award.
