Everyone is discussing Duck Dynasty after Willie Robertson’s interview with Tucker Carlson, and a renewed interest in the 11-season A&e show is brewing.
The Robertson clan is made up of various personalities, which helped to make the show as successful as it was.
Seven years after Duck Dynasty went off the air, a reboot of sorts is in the works.
Willie is arguably the face of the franchise, and that may be because his wife, Korie Robertson, suggested the family do a reality show.
Initially, the family was approached by a gun company to shoot a TV show for The Outdoor Channel using their products. It was called Duck Commander (like the business they run) and ran for three seasons.
However, that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Korie Robertson takes the reigns
Before the Robertsons signed on to work with The Outdoor Channel, Korie Robertson negotiated a talent fee for the men.

Duck Dynasty became a global phenomenon when the reality series premiered in 2012. The Robertson family was catapulted to stardom as millions of viewers followed the famous duck hunters and their personal lives in the heart of Louisiana. The A&e series ran for 11 seasons until 2017. The Duck Dynasty fandom remains strong to this day, and many have wondered about a possible revival. Willie Robertson opened up about why a Duck Dynasty revival is not in the cards. “We are looking into some different TV ideas,” Robertson told TV Insider while promoting The Blind. “But to recapture what we did before is really not gonna happen. Sadly, everyone’s gotten older, and we’re all in different places now. Our cast has expanded drastically. I have seven grandkids now, so we’ve got some ideas.” Even though a Duck Dynasty revival is off the table, the Robertsons aren’t retreating from the spotlight.

And now after 50 years, you’ve seen what has come out of that, especially with the TV show.” Willie executive produced the film alongside wife Korie Robertson through their production company Tread Lively. “The Masked Singer” finale concluded on Wednesday night with Queen of Hearts winning the Golden Mask and defeating Bull in one of the closest votes in the history of the Fox reality TV competition. After eight weeks of competition and over three dozen thrilling performances, Season 6 of “The Masked Singer” has reached the Final 4. For the first time ever, each quirky character will go head-to-head against their biggest rival when Bull faces Skunk in the Group A final on December 1 and Banana Split takes on Queen of Hearts in the Group B final on December 8. The winner of each group will then compete against each other for the first time in the season finale on December 15 before host Nick Cannon announces the winner.
Panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger will continue to decipher the clues in hopes of naming each disguised celebrity before they’re forced to unmask in front of America. The contestants this season have a combined 85 Grammy nominations, 27 Grammy wins, 12 Emmy nominations, 12 Razzie Award nominations, three Academy Award nominations, two Super Bowl appearances and two lifetime achievement awards.

There’s no easy way to say this. “The Masked Singer” judges are earning a failing grade for their Season 6 guesses. Each week, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger put their best foot forward in trying to figure out the true identities of the celebrities hiding behind extravagant costumes. But of the 12 unmaskings so far in the sixth season of Fox’s reality TV show, the panelists have only correctly guessed two as their first impressions: Nicole pegged Natasha Bedingfield as Pepper and Ken named Dwight Howard as Octopus. That’s only a 16.67% accuracy rate, otherwise known as an “F.”

The Group B semi-finals took place on Wednesday night’s episode of “The Masked Singer,” with two performers unmasking in front of America. After the Mallard was revealed to be “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson, Caterpillar lost his head and was exposed as Emmy-nominated “Queer Eye” co-host Bobby Berk. Despite impressing the panel with his performance of “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks, Bobby wasn’t able to take down Banana Split or Queen of Hearts, who will now compete in the Group B finals.

The Group B semi-finals took place on Wednesday night’s episode of “The Masked Singer,” with two performers unmasking before the hour was over. Mallard was the first costumed crooner to reveal himself as “Duck Dynasty” reality TV Star Willie Robertson. His performance of “Fly” by Sugar Ray wasn’t enough to advance the billed bird to the Group B finals.

“I felt comfortable being a mallard,” Willie admitted during his unmasked interview with host Nick Cannon. “When they said duck, I thought, yeah! It was just one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. The first night I thought, there is no way. Most of the people that you named, I’m friends with. So I was laughing a lot because I was like, ‘he’s gonna die when he finds out they thought I was him.

After the group’s semi-finals, Banana Split and Queen of Hearts are moving on. Meanwhile, Mallard and Caterpillar were eliminated. Wearing the Mallard costume in Season 6 was Duck Dynasty‘s Willie Robertson, while Queer Eye‘s interior design expert Bobby Berk was the Caterpillar. TV Insider chatted with Berk about his experience on the show and Blown Away: Christmas (premiering November 19 on Netflix). What made you say yes to doing The Masked Singer? Bobby Berk: I wanted to be on the show for years. I love singing, and I think I’m kind of good at it. And so I’ve been looking for a show format in which I could show the world that I can sing, but something like American Idol or The Voice just doesn’t...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched “The Masked Singer” Season 6, Episode 10, “Group B Semi-Finals,” which aired November 17 on Fox.
There has perhaps never been a more on-the-nose costume on “The Masked Singer” than “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson as the Mallard. In a reality TV heavy night for “The Masked Singer,” Robertson was unmasked as Mallard, and “Queer Eye” star/interior designer Bobby Berk was revealed to be the Caterpillar, as seen on the tenth episode of Season 6, “Group B Semi-Finals.”
“I was just hiding in plain sight, I guess,” said Robertson — who pointed out that technically the character he was dressed as is not actually a mallard. “That thing was awesome, and I let them know it’s not a mallard, it’s a wood duck. I knew the difference, but then we thought it would be a funny throwoff clue.”
For Mallard, no one got Robertson right.

“The Masked Singer” is down to the final few episodes with the four remaining acts in Group B — Banana Split (a duo), Caterpillar, Mallard and Queen of Hearts — competing in the semi-final on November 17. Of these contenders for the Golden Mask. the Mallard is the one who looks like he is having the most fun. He made it through to this stage of the competition based on his performance on episode 7 of “Play Something Country” by Brooks & Dunn.
We are surprised that he has made it this far when the likes of Toni Braxton and Ruth Pointer have been sent home by the four judges. We’d figured out who they were before they were unmasked by host Nick Cannon.

Starring on Duck Dynasty brought race to the forefront for Korie and Willie Robertson. On the premiere episode of their new Facebook Watch series, At Home With the Robertsons, the former A&e reality stars reflected on raising their biracial son Will Robertson, Jr., who they adopted when he was 5 weeks old. As Willie recalled, they were told it would take a couple of years to adopt unless they were interested in a biracial child, noting agencies said "those are the hardest ones to place in the South." While the couple, based in Louisiana, had no issue with their son's race, they eventually realized that wasn't the case for everyone. "We...

Robertson told USA Today that several members of his family had come to live him and with his wife, Korie, on his estate during the coronavirus lockdown but that no one had been outside when the shots were fired.
The houses on Robertson’s estate are located far from the road, but one bullet broke a window in a house where Robertson’s son, John Luke, and his wife and child were living in. Thankfully, no one was injured.
