A highly accomplished and multifaceted individual, with a diverse background in both the arts and the charity sector. Born into a family of accomplished intellectuals, politicians, and diplomats, Amanda is the niece of former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan. Despite her familial connections, she decided to forge her own path at a young age, choosing to attend the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London to pursue her passion for the arts.
While at the Academy, Amanda was scouted by renowned makeup artist Susie Sollis, who convinced her to put her acting career on hold and personally introduced her to an agent at Unique Model Management. This led to Amanda's rapid ascent in the fashion industry, with her first campaign for Vidal Sassoon being especially notable for breaking barriers in the ethnic market. From there, Amanda's modeling career took off, with shoots and runway assignments in London, Paris, Milan, and New York.
Despite her success in the fashion industry, Amanda never lost her passion for acting. She enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York to hone her craft and returned to London to actively pursue acting roles. She quickly acquired work in television and film, including A-Z, produced by the London Shakespeare Company, and Belief, in which she co-starred with Colette Redgrave. In addition to her career in the arts, Amanda is also a sophisticated international traveler, fluent in French, Greek, and Italian, and a skilled athlete, TV host, and entrepreneur. She is also a devotee of yoga and is actively involved in various charitable organizations, including CAMFED and the African Film Commission. In 2008, she joined Richard Branson and Virgin Unite on a charity project in Kenya, which sparked her interest in women's issues around the world. After presenting a show on Brit Celeb TV, Amanda decided to try her hand at producing and currently resides in Los Angeles. She is a warm, caring, and motivated individual who believes in maximizing one's full potential.
