Alicia Ruskin

A native of Los Angeles, Alicia traveled the world before settling back in LA and starting her career at the agency. As a theatre major she attended Brandeis University, The Sorbonne in Paris and on scholarship at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. During this time she performed at the Kennedy Center and on tour with the USO throughout Germany and Italy. After graduating with her MFA, she moved to New York and worked in stage and musical theatre productions.
Leaving acting behind, Alicia started as receptionist at what was then Joseph, Heldfond & Rix and was promoted to assistant and then agent in the commercial department within 18 months. In 1997 she received the title of Vice President, Commercial Division. She is the go-to person within the industry for contract and policy questions, and is often asked to lead workshops in the art of auditioning and the business of acting.
In 2006, Alicia became a partner in the agency with owner Cindy Kazarian. Her current title is Senior Vice President and Partner with KMR President Mark Measures. She continues to be an active commercial agent while pursuing opportunities and growth for the agency as a whole. Through her efforts, KMR became the first talent agency to be accepted into the prestigious Education to Business program at Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business. Alicia serves on the board of the Association of Talent Agents and is a long time member of the Television Academy.
Alicia's husband Larry is a custom woodworker and cabinet maker, and they enjoy a home full of beautiful furniture and several pets. Alicia is an active supporter of local theatre and a published poet, and enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling.
