Barbara is an award-winning Canadian writer and producer.
She is Consulting Producer on The Wonderful Wayneys, a family sitcom starring Molly Ringwald and Jason Priestley, was Supervising Producer on Spun Out, a multi-cam sitcom featuring Kids in the Hall's Dave Foley, Executive Story Editor on the cross-cultural comedy Little Mosque on the Prairie, and Executive Story Editor on Teen Nick's hospital soap, Open Heart.
Barbara had her own show in development at CTV, With or Without You, an edgy, "Bridesmaids meets The League" sitcom, and regularly story edits and consults on other creators' series.
She's worked on multiple teen comedies including The Latest Buzz, Naturally Sadie, Wingin' It and What's Up Warthogs. She also wrote and produced her own teen pilot, Love Your Style, and writes episodes of Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse, the Mattel and Netflix series that imagines everybody's favorite doll as a reality TV star.
She is writing the online movies and webisodes for the LEGO Elves characters, wrote for Beat Bugs, an animated series that weaves Beatles songs into adventures about young bugs, and writes a blog with her husband called I Do Already that takes a fun, fresh look at the "he said/she said" back and forth of marriage.
She was one of five writers chosen for the Shaw Media Showrunner Training Program where she studied under top show runners such as Breaking Bad's Vince Gilligan, Bill Prady of The Big Bang Theory, and producers and executives from The Good Wife.
Barbara won a Writers Guild of Canada Award for an episode of The Latest Buzz, as well as the Guild's Sondra Kelly Award for her spec pilot Girl on Top which was optioned by Intrigue Entertainment in LA.
