Michelle Melles is a Canadian-American documentary filmmaker, story editor, story producer, and impact producer with over twenty years of experience producing and story-editing unscripted television and docu-series for broadcast and streaming. Under her banner, Parallel Vision Pictures, she produces independent documentaries that challenge preconceived ideas and offer unique perspectives on ourselves, each other, and the world. Michelle holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Documentary Media from The Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University (Gold Medal, 2021) and holds a BA from the University of Toronto (high distinction). Michelle is a filmmaker with the venerated distribution company New Day Films - providing social issue documentaries to educators across North America since 1971.
