Rogier van Beeck Calkoen's work has been screened and awarded internationally.
His documentary The Storykeeper, about a seven-year-old boy in occupied Paris, was chosen Best Documentary Short at the Geneva Film Festival and the Universe Multicultural Film Festival. The film was also nominated for Best Documentary at the Naperville Film Festival, and the Hot Springs Documentary Festival, where Rene Psarolis was introduced. The Storykeeper is still shown in festivals and venues in Europe and the United States.
Rogier's narrative film debut, Andersen and the Jinn, screened in over twenty countries and was awarded Best Narrative Short at the Reel East Texas Film Festival, LA Film Awards and the Côte d'Azur WebFest.
