Born in Columbus, Ohio, Zele discovered her passion for the stage at just five years old, performing at the Ohio Theatre. Though she spent a year in Greece as a child and later lived in Athens for 13 years after college, her roots in Columbus shaped her initial artistic journey.
Zele holds a BFA in Theatre and a BA in English from Otterbein College, reflecting her family's encouragement to balance creativity with practicality. She later earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Durham in the UK, training as an English and Drama teacher. Her diverse education also includes a summer program with the Moscow Art Theatre through the American Repertory Theatre and Harvard Extension School.
