Samuel J. Paul

Samuel Jaye Paul is a stunt professional whose credits span 20+ years. "Jaye" was raised in American Samoa, and he got a good dose of culture shock when his family moved to Virginia. A good friend introduced Jaye to gymnastics in high school, and in the summer of 1999, he saw an ad in the local newspaper looking for gymnasts. The open call was an audition for a stunt show at Six Flags. He learned high falls, stage combat, and stunt driving there. He then set his sights on Hollywood. In 2006, Jaye moved across the country to Los Angeles, California. He has worked as the stunt double for some of the industry's premiere talent, including Kevin Hart, Justin Hires, Tyrin Turner, and Benji Flores Jr. Jaye's talent, intelligence, and hard work have allowed him to work on some of Hollywood's biggest films, including the Jumanji franchise, Black Panther, The Upside, Central Intelligence and Ride Along 2... to name a few. His thirst for knowledge, growth, creative fulfillment, and tremendous love of storytelling drove him to look beyond his career in stunts. He has eagerly devoured books on filmmaking, screenwriting, and production; taken classes covering multiple aspects of filmmaking; and jumped at every opportunity to get behind the camera.
