Javier Rueda (Barcelona, 1982). Producer and filmmaker. Essayist and theorist. Cultural manager, programmer and curator. Executive director of Aved Producciones since 2003, an independent production company based in Barcelona, with which he has produced more than a hundred projects, including several feature films (fiction and documentary). Co-founder of Zumzeig Cinecooperativa in 2016, an awarded cinema theatre project. Jury at international festivals. Co-author and coordinator of published film essay books and publications. Speaker at workshops and round tables on cinematography and audiovisual industry. Advisor and mentor of productions in development. Coordinator since 2017 of the Molins Film Festival Industry activities, including its International Coproduction Forum, its Ventana Sur awards and its Professional Days aimed at new authorship for networking, project maturation and exchange and improvement of knowledge. Member of the Direction Board of Molins Film Festival since 2020. Curator and programmer of the Bogotá Experimental Film Festival since 2023. Programmer of Festival CO- since 2023. Cocreator of audiovisual awareness projects such as "SaD Sobrevivir al Descalabro" (2020-current) and "We Exist Tour Project" (2018-current), coordinator of the Coop d'Ull Festival (2018-2019), promoter and professor of "kdm;) Web Series" (production lab for young; 2012), and production lab for young second generation migrants (2006). Member of the Assemblea Metropolitana Manifesta 15 and Taula Barcelona Creativa. Much of his career has been oriented to projects that have a social and / or cultural approach, including several actions in the field of audiovisual social responsibility and the participation in the production of documentaries in different countries of the Global South.
