Nick Stanner
- Stunts
- Actor
- Producer
Growing up in Omaha, Nebraska where his parents own a gymnastics club,
Nick focused his training on becoming a national level gymnast. By the
time he graduated high school he had achieved both state and national
titles. After college at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, he
moved to Florida to begin his pursuit of doing stunts in major motion
pictures.
Doing gymnastics for so many years gave Nick valuable skills needed to be a stuntman. He is just as comfortable on his hands as he is his feet. "Air Sense" is like second nature to him, and there is a constant desire to learn more.
Living in Florida gave Nick a chance to perform for a number of live shows including; "The Indiana Jones Stunt Show" (Disney's MGM Studios), "The 8th Voyage of Sindbad" (Universal Studios), "Festival of the Lion King" (Disney's Animal Kingdom), and numerous other contracted and seasonal shows. He has even introduced new shows to theme parks around the country when he put together a high energy, high flying trampoline show, in which he also performs.
Some of the skills Nick has learned along his way are; Fire Burns, High Falls up to 100ft, Air Ram, Ratchets, Russian Swing, pretty much anything and everything he could possibly learn.
Thinking there was more than just performing Nick began studying safety and rigging underneath John Zimmerman and Stunt Dynamics. His desire to understand rigging, stunts, and safety continues to grow.
His eyes are now set on Los Angeles and hopefully many future films. This is just the beginning of his journey as there are many more goals he has yet to accomplish.
