Tilda Del Toro is an American actress, known for the film "Capone" in the role of Mona Lisa, opposite Tom Hardy. The film is written and directed by Josh Trank. She was also cast in the Universal Pictures' Kevin Hart comedy "Night School," working opposite Kevin Hart with Al Madrigal. Del Toro has worked with directors David Gordon Green (Warner Bros. "Our Brand Is Crisis"), Josh Trank, Malcolm D. Lee, and Nicolai Fuglsig and for producers Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, Lawrence Bender, and Will Packer. She began acting and modeling at a young age before being cast in The Steppenwolf Theatre Company's original House on Mango Street production. Del Toro performed in multiple Level 5 Improv Olympic shows directed by the late Del Close, including A Strange Short Trip, and co-created the first all-Latino improvisation troupe in Chicago, Salsation. During this period, Del Toro trained a Moscow Art Theatre program held at The University of Chicago, The Second City, The Annoyance Theatre, and Improv Olympic, Chicago. During her acting training, her teachers and mentors have included James Caan, Joyce Piven, and Del Close. She is trained in Meisner, Stanislavski, and Long Form Improvisation. In Los Angeles, she has trained at The Margie Haber Studio, among other studios in the city. While continuing to devote time professionally to acting, Del Toro has recently returned to academia to obtain her bachelor of fine arts, cinematic arts, and film, beginning her return journey at Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, CA.
