Of these, 1.57 million homes had access to Apple TV+, up 27 from 1.24 million the previous quarter and 6.53 million homes had access to Disney+, a quarterly increase of 19 from 5.49 million in Q4 2021.

revealed the following about the return of the series in a press release.

“PBS announced today that the critically-acclaimed British drama Call The Midwife will return for its 11th season Sundays, March 20-May 8, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. Et on PBS stations (check local listings). Call the Midwife has received another early renewal. BBC has renewed the long-running period drama series for seasons 12 and 13, keeping the show on the air until 2024. Season 10 debuts in the UK this Sunday night and season 11 will begin filming soon.

In the United States, the Call the Midwife show airs on PBS. A 10th season premiere date hasn't been announced yet. Word is that a fall premiere is likely but an official date hasn't been released.

The BBC announces filming has begun on the sixth season of the Call the Midwife TV series, and the 2016 Call the Midwife Christmas special. Call the Midwife airs on BBC One in UK and PBS in the Us. The eight-episode sixth season will be filmed on location at the Chatham dockyard, in London’s East End, and in the studio in Chertsey, Surrey. The Christmas Special is to be shot on location near Cape Town, South Africa.

There's a huge amount in store for Children in Need viewers this year, after BBC One announced the lineup for the night of charity programming next month.

Sir Terry Wogan, Tess Daly, Fearne Cotton, Rochelle Humes and Nick Grimshaw will host the action-packed special on Friday, November 13 at 7.30pm.

The evening will see Sir Bruce Forsyth return to Strictly Come Dancing to host a Call the Midwife special.

Stars of Call the Midwife Jenny Agutter, Laura Main, Stephen McGann and Jack Ashton will all strut their stuff for charity, fighting to win the Pudsey Glitter Ball trophy.

Elsewhere, there's a host of musical talent on offer too, with Years & Years, Rod Stewart and Selena Gomez all due to perform on the night.
