Dropped out of Studio 58 at Langara College at the end of the 2nd year when he was asked to repeat the 4th (of 6) term.

Was in the process of adopting a child in 2011 with his then-partner, Kelly-Ruth Mercier. They separated and the adoption was disrupted.
