If you’re a Patricia Cornwell fan, you know Kay Scarpetta.
Cornwell’s work with that character was so influential in my life that I can remember exactly where I was when reading certain novels.
But I can’t lie. The last person I wanted to play Kay was Nicole Kidman.

So, the deal is that the series has landed a two-season deal with Prime Video. Kidman will play Kay, and Jamie Lee Curtis will play her sister, Dorothy.
Five others have also been added to the series, including Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, Emmy winner Bobby Cannavale, Emmy nominee Simon Baker, Rosy McEwen, and Jake Cannavale.

Fox’s new mystery series, Murder in a Small Town, premieres Tuesday, September 24.
It’s adapted from L. R. Wright’s nine-book series about detective Karl Alberg, who hopes to escape his city cop life for quieter coastal living but still finds more secrets and murder amidst the small town.
Rossif Sutherland plays Karl Alberg, while Kristin Kreuk portrays Cassandra Mitchell, the local librarian and Alberg’s love interest and muse.
(James Dimmock/ Fox)
TV Fanatic has the pleasure of chatting with Sutherland and Kreuk, where they shared their enthusiasm for the series and how it differed from other crime procedurals.
Both actors shared that while the weekly cases were fascinating, the series’s draw will be the development of Karl and Cassandra’s relationship. We can’t wait to see that blossom.

No one is as passionate and excited about what’s in store for Chicago Pd Season 12 as showrunner Gwen Sigan.

Season 12 feels much like a soft reboot for Chicago Pd, and she couldn’t wait to share so many details about what the series will do next this season.
(Lori Allen/NBC)
Sigan’s passion for the subject matter was palpable as she tried to cover everything from the new additions to the cast to fresh storylines for fan favorites.
Please check out our interview below and share your thoughts!

Oh Hell! It’s not even Halloween, and Only Murders in the Building Season 4, Episode 4 just gave us a darkly comedic treat!
From Charles’s creepy, fog-infested dreams to a surprising twist that wasn’t Paul Rudd’s reappearance, “The Stunt Man” served up some seriously macabre vibes.
(Disney/Patrick Harbron)
Rats, Hell’s Kitchen, “faces,” and snappy dialogue set the tone, weaving together clues from earlier episodes. And now, we might be getting closer to figuring out who killed Sazz — if Sazz is really dead, that is.
Plus, did we just catch a hint that Mabel might be headed down a darker path?
Selena Gomez recently teased that her character becoming a murderer would be “fun.” With Mabel now living in the west building surrounded by the “weirdos,” could she be on her way to becoming a “different kind of weirdo” — like, maybe a murderous one?
There’s so much to unpack,...
