Charles Douglas is a Canadian performance and movement director. A graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, he is a Fellow of the RSA and a Chevening Alumnus. Charles' career began in live performance, including several productions for the National Arts Centre of Canada's English Theatre company, serving as Movement Assistant to Mervyn Millar on the world premiere of The Hatchling (Trigger Stuff), and appearances at regional theatres across Canada. While studying and working in the UK, Charles wrote the first thesis on movement and performance capture. He now lectures at institutions around the world and directs performance capture for gaming, film, XR, and AI projects. Recently, Charles contributed to Julia Bianco Schoeffling's 2022 book 'The Art and Business of Acting for Video Games'.
