For years video games have clamoured to make the gaming experience more cinematic. Which is now the reason we have games like Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, The Last of Us and Until Dawn – games that edge more towards the “interactive adventures” we were promised back in the full-motion video era of gaming (remember those?). But what if it was the other way round? What if films looked to video games for inspiration? We’d probably end up with something like Burning Dog.
Shot completely from the hero’s perspective, a la Fps video games, Burning Dog is obviously inspired not only by video games but by Hardcore Henry, the 2016 film starring Sharlito Copley, which told the story of...

The Rubicon prequel arrived in my inbox couple of days ago and I watched it with with very low expectations. But, after watching the 12-minute episode, consider me a huge fan of the concept. The project is a prequel to the 2012 Archaia and Meteor Entertainment graphic novel written by retired Army Major Mark Long (The Silence of our Friends), Seal Team Six founding member Dan Capel and writer/director Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, Jack Reacher, Edge of Tomorrow). The project was first announced back in 2011 at NY Comic-Con as a transmedia project aiming for a feature length film and video game in addition to a graphic novel. Fast forward to 2014 and we have a pilot from director Christian Johnston that features Matt Bushell as the rough and ready CIA operative Mike and Ken Lally as his handler, Smash. Ahead of today's release...

After watching this series, I don’t think I could ever go into a changing room again. It also makes me show my age by asserting my opinion that so many teenagers are idiots, but that...

Last October, a list of castmembers added to portray supporting role characters in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 was announced, and still most of those actors' characters for the film(s) are unknown.
(Note: Ty Olsson has since been revealed as Bella's stepfather, "Phil Dwyer," for the films; that character was portrayed briefly by Matt Bushell in 2008's Twilight).
Wendell Pierce of the hit HBO series Treme was one of them.
Early speculation on Pierce's involvement in Breaking Dawn (done by MTV's Hollywood Crush) pegged him as the character "Max," the assistant to "J. Jenks" who greets the newly-vamped Bella on the street, and that thought may not be far from the mark.
Wendell Pierce has been interviewed by Rolling Stone about the second season of Treme, and in that interview, he explained a bit about his character in Breaking Dawn,...

While the principal cast for Bill Condon’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will remain the same, Bella’s step-father will be different. Many of the Twihards may remember Bella’s step-father in Twilight, who was briefly seen when Bella (Kristen Stewart) was leaving her mother’s house, and was played by Matt Bushell. He will be returning for the final entry in the film series, but played by a new actor.
Ecranlarge (via Cinema Blend) has been told by Summit Entertainment that Ty Olsson has been offered the role in Breaking Dawn. Olsson has made appearances in a few films such as X2: X-men United, The Chronicles of Riddick, and Clash of the Titans (2010), but fans of Eureka will recognize him as the robot Sheriff Deputy Andy. Olsson has yet to land the role, and you most likely won’t be seeing much of him. Bella’s step-father only...

Bella Swan is getting a new step-father. The character of Phil Dwyer has probably been pretty much forgotten by all but the most hardcore of Twilight fans; but remember that part at the beginning of the first movie when Bella.s packing up and leaving her mother.s house? That guy hanging around the car helping her pack was Matt Bushell playing Bella.s pro baseball playing step-father Phil. Yeah Bushell.s out. Summit tells Ecranlarge that actor Ty Olsson has been offered the part of Phil Dwyer in the upcoming final Twilight movie Breaking Dawn. Fans of the SyFy Channel original series Eureka may recognize Olsson, who had a recurring role on the series as the robot sheriff Deputy Andy. He.s done a lot of science fiction actually, appearing on shows like V, Defying Gravity, and Battlestar Galactica. Odds are you won.t see a lot of him...

The Twilight cast is positively gigantic at this point. With The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse complete, the list of cast members has grown significantly. Ashley Greene (Skateland), Anna Kendrick (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World), Ayanna Berkshire, Billy Burke (Highland Park, Shadow Play), Boo Boo Stewart (Smitty, Logan), Cam Gigandet (Easy A, Five Star Day, Priest, Kerosene Cowboys, Burlesque), Dakota Fanning (The Runaways), Graham Greene, Jamie Campbell Bower (Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I, London Boulevard), Jackson Rathbone (Dread, Girlfriend, The Last Airbender), Kellan Lutz (A Nightmare On Elm Street), Michael Sheen (Alice In Wonderland), Michael Welch, Jack Huston, Jose Zuniga, Matt Bushell, Rachelle Lefevre, Solomon Trimble, Tinsel Korey ...

Casting information for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has yet to be announced, as casting for two smaller parts (Leah and Seth Clearwater) has only closed a few days ago, but we know for sure that certain members of the Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon cast will be returning for the third part of the series. In Twilight, Renee and Phil Dwyer were portrayed by Sarah Clarke and Matt Bushell. Though their parts were fairly short (particularly Bushell's), they certainly...

Title: Dark Reel Cast: Lance Henriksen, Daniel Wisler, Edward Furlong, Tiffany Shepis, Rena Riffel and Matt Bushell (Twilight).
